Brahmā tells Nārada the account of Satī — told first in brief, then at length: Rudra taking form, Dakṣa's sacrifice and Satī's death there, and her rebirth as Pārvatī.सात संहिताओं में दूसरी संहिता का द्वितीय खण्ड। ब्रह्मा जी नारद को सती की कथा सुनाते हैं — पहले संक्षेप में, फिर विस्तार से: रुद्र का अवतार, दक्ष का यज्ञ और वहाँ सती का देहत्याग, तथा पार्वती के रूप में उनका पुनर्जन्म।

Brahmā tells Nārada how Satī, reborn as Pārvatī, again wins Śiva as her husband — opening with the marriage of her parents, Himācala and Menā.सात संहिताओं में दूसरी संहिता का तृतीय खण्ड। ब्रह्मा जी नारद को बताते हैं कि किस प्रकार सती, पार्वतीके रूपमें पुनर्जन्म लेकर, पुनः शिवको पतिरूपमें प्राप्त करती हैं — आरम्भ उनके माता-पिता हिमाचल और मेनाके विवाहसे होता है।

Brahmā tells Nārada of Śiva's sport with Pārvatī on Kailāsa after their marriage, and of the birth of Kumāra (Skanda) from Śiva's radiance, born to slay the demon Tāraka.सात संहिताओं में दूसरी संहिता का चतुर्थ खण्ड। ब्रह्मा जी नारद को विवाहके पश्चात् कैलासपर शिव-पार्वतीके विहारकी तथा तारकासुरके वधके लिये शिवके तेजसे कुमार (स्कन्द) के जन्मकी कथा सुनाते हैं।

The fifth khaṇḍa of the second Saṃhitā. Nārada, having heard the household story of Śiva through Gaṇeśa and Skanda, asks for the account of Śiva's valour — how the three cities of the Tāraka's sons were burnt with a single arrow, and, in the chapters that follow, the slaying of Jālandhara.सात संहिताओं में दूसरी संहिता का पंचम खण्ड। गणेश तथा स्कन्दके माध्यमसे शिवजीके गृहस्थ-चरित्रको सुनकर नारदजी शिवजीके पराक्रमकी कथा पूछते हैं — तारकपुत्रोंके तीनों पुरोंको एक ही बाणसे भस्म करनेकी, तथा आगेके अध्यायोंमें जालन्धरके वधकी कथा।

शतरुद्रसंहिता
The Śatarudra Saṃhitāशतरुद्रसंहिता
The third of the seven Saṃhitās. Nandīśvara tells Sanatkumāra of Śiva's many avatāras across the ages, beginning with the five Brahma-forms — Sadyojāta, Vāmadeva, Tatpuruṣa, Aghora and Īśāna — through which Śiva first taught Brahmā the power of creation, and continuing through the god's many further descents for the world's good.सात संहिताओंमें तीसरी। नन्दीश्वर सनत्कुमारको शिवजीके विभिन्न युगोंमें हुए अनेक अवतारोंकी कथा सुनाते हैं, आरम्भ पाँच ब्रह्मरूपों — सद्योजात, वामदेव, तत्पुरुष, अघोर और ईशान — से, जिनके द्वारा शिवने पहले-पहल ब्रह्माको सृष्टिकी शक्ति सिखायी, और आगे भी लोक-कल्याणके लिये भगवान्के अनेक अवतारोंका वर्णन जारी रहता है।
