यतः बिभर्षि सकलं (yataḥ bibharṣi sakalaṃ) — since you bear all thingssince you bear all things·विभज्य तनुम् अष्टधा (vibhajya tanum aṣṭadhā) — dividing your body eightfolddividing your body eightfold·अष्टमूर्तिः इति ईशः च (aṣṭamūrtiḥ iti īśaḥ ca) — thus called the Aṣṭamūrti, the Lordthus called the Aṣṭamūrti, the Lord·त्वम् आद्यः करुणामयः (tvam ādyaḥ karuṇāmayaḥ) — you are the primal one, full of compassionyou are the primal one, full of compassion

त्वद्भयात् (tvadbhayāt) — from fear of youfrom fear of you·वाति वातः अयं (vāti vātaḥ ayaṃ) — this wind blowsthis wind blows·दहति अग्निः भयात्तव (dahati agniḥ bhayāttava) — fire burns from fear of youfire burns from fear of you·सूर्यः तपति ते भीत्या (sūryaḥ tapati te bhītyā) — the sun scorches from fear of youthe sun scorches from fear of you·मृत्युः धावति सर्वतः (mṛtyuḥ dhāvati sarvataḥ) — death runs everywheredeath runs everywhere

दयासिन्धो महेशान (dayāsindho maheśāna) — O ocean of compassion, O MaheśānaO ocean of compassion, O Maheśāna·प्रसीद परमेश्वर (prasīda parameśvara) — be gracious, O supreme lordbe gracious, O supreme lord·रक्ष रक्ष सदा एव अस्मान् (rakṣa rakṣa sadā eva asmān) — protect, protect us alwaysprotect, protect us always·यस्मात् नष्टान् विचेतसः (yasmāt naṣṭān vicetasaḥ) — since we are ruined, senselesssince we are ruined, senseless

यज्ञस्य उद्धरणं नाथ (yajñasya uddharaṇaṃ nātha) — the restoration of the sacrifice, O Lordthe restoration of the sacrifice, O Lord·कुरु शीघ्रं प्रसादकृत् (kuru śīghraṃ prasādakṛt) — do it quickly, O bestower of gracedo it quickly, O bestower of grace·असमाप्तस्य दुर्गेश (asamāptasya durgeśa) — unfinished, O lord of the fortressunfinished, O lord of the fortress·दक्षस्य च प्रजापतेः (dakṣasya ca prajāpateḥ) — of Dakṣa, the lord of creaturesof Dakṣa, the lord of creatures

भगः अक्षिणी प्रपद्येत (bhagaḥ akṣiṇī prapadyeta) — may Bhaga attain his two eyesmay Bhaga attain his two eyes·यजमानः च जीवतु (yajamānaḥ ca jīvatu) — and may the sacrificer liveand may the sacrificer live·पूष्णः दन्ताः च रोहन्तु (pūṣṇaḥ dantāḥ ca rohantu) — and may Pūṣan's teeth growand may Pūṣan's teeth grow·भृगोः श्मश्रूणि पूर्ववत् (bhṛgoḥ śmaśrūṇi pūrvavat) — Bhṛgu's beard as beforeBhṛgu's beard as before
