Continuing his narration to Nārada, Brahmā describes how Himavān — hailed here as Girīśa, lord of mountains — rejoiced on hearing that the all-pervading Lord had arrived near his city, and sent forth mountains and brahmins in every direction to receive him, going himself with heartfelt devotion. Seeing the vast army of the gods, Himavān was struck with wonder and hastened to meet it, while the gods themselves marvelled at his own host; the two great armies, mingling, shone like the meeting of the eastern and western oceans, and both sides counted themselves blessed. Himālaya, the mountains, and the brahmins bowed before Sadāśiva, whom Brahmā describes at length — seated on the bull, serene-faced, richly adorned, his crown ablaze with gems, his limbs bedecked with serpents turned ornaments, attended by chowrie-bearing lords of the gods, flanked by Acyuta and Vidhi, with Hari and the other gods behind him, praised on every side, at once with and beyond attributes, the very embodiment of being, consciousness and bliss. Himavān and the mountains then bowed also to Acyuta and Brahmā, seen respectively on the Lord's right and left, and to the gods ranged behind and beside Śiva. By Śiva's leave, Himālaya led the way into his own city, followed by Śeṣa, Hari, Brahmā, the sages and the gods, who praised the city greatly. Himālaya settled the divine guests upon a beautifully prepared peak, then went to the site of the ritual altar, had a festooned quadrangle built, performed the rites of bathing and gift-giving, and inspected the arrangements. He sent his own sons to Śiva's presence, wishing, in his great joy, to perform the bridegroom's rites amid a grand festival together with his whole company of kinsmen; the mountain-sons went, bowed, and delivered his closing request, then returned home to tell him, joyfully, that the wedding party was on its way. Hearing this, Śiva and all the gods rejoiced greatly; dressing themselves splendidly, the immortals, sages and hosts set out with the Lord for Himālaya's house. Meanwhile Menā, eager to see Śiva, sent for Nārada regarding the Lord; impelled by Śiva himself and intent on fulfilling the purpose in his heart, Nārada went to her, and Menā, bowing to him in wonderment, spoke, longing to behold the pride-dispelling form of Śaṅkara.

[They beheld] the Lord, with Acyuta stationed on his left, Vidhi [Brahmā] stationed on his right, Hari standing behind him, and the gods and the rest ranged at his back and sides.
Note'हरिं' ("Hari") here, stationed at Śiva's back, is distinct from the Acyuta [Viṣṇu] already placed at his left within the same verse — most plausibly denoting Indra, for whom 'Hari' is also an attested epithet, rather than a second reference to Viṣṇu; the reading is kept exactly as printed.

[They beheld him] praised by the gods of many kinds and others, the bringer of welfare to the world, the Absolute who has assumed a body of his own accord, the lord of all, the giver of boons.
Note'स्वहेत्वात्ततनुम्' ("one who has taken on a body by his own cause/will") is a dense theological compound — kept as printed, glossed here as "the Absolute who has assumed a body of his own accord."

kartumaicchadvarācāraṃ mahotsavapurassaram | mahāharṣayutaḥ sarvabandhuyugghimaśailarāṭ 24 ||
Doubtful readingThe compound printed as 'सर्वबन्धुयुग्घिमशैलराट्' does not follow expected sandhi — sarvabandhuyugmaḥ + himaśailarāṭ would regularly yield "yugmo himaśailarāṭ," not the printed "yugghima-." It is read here as sarva-bandhu-yugma joined to himaśailarāṭ ("the snow-mountain-king together with the whole band of kinsmen"), matching the accompanying Hindi gloss ("अपने बन्धुगणोंके साथ"), but the exact underlying word-division could not be confirmed with certainty from the print.
