त्रिकूटश्चित्रकूटोऽपि (trikūṭaścitrakūṭo'pi) — Trikūṭa, and Citrakūṭa tooTrikūṭa, and Citrakūṭa too·वेंकटः श्रीगिरिस्तथा (veṃkaṭaḥ śrīgiristathā) — Veṅkaṭa, and likewise ŚrīgiriVeṅkaṭa, and likewise Śrīgiri·गोकामुखो नारदश्च (gokāmukho nāradaśca) — Gokāmukha, and NāradaGokāmukha, and Nārada·हिमगेहमुपागमत् (himagehamupāgamat) — came to Himālaya's housecame to Himālaya's house

विन्ध्यश्च पर्वतश्रेष्ठो (vindhyaśca parvataśreṣṭho) — and Vindhya, best of mountainsand Vindhya, best of mountains·नानासम्पत्समन्वितः (nānāsampatsamanvitaḥ) — endowed with manifold richesendowed with manifold riches·आजगाम प्रहृष्टात्मा (ājagāma prahṛṣṭātmā) — came, greatly delightedcame, greatly delighted·सदारतनयः शुभः (sadāratanayaḥ śubhaḥ) — auspicious, with his wife and sonauspicious, with his wife and son

कालंजरो महाशैलो (kālaṃjaro mahāśailo) — the great mountain Kālañjarathe great mountain Kālañjara·बहुहर्षसमन्वितः (bahuharṣasamanvitaḥ) — filled with great joyfilled with great joy·बहुभिः स्वगणैः प्रीत्या (bahubhiḥ svagaṇaiḥ prītyā) — with his many gaṇas, lovinglywith his many gaṇas, lovingly·आजगाम हिमभूधरम् (ājagāma himabhūdharam) — came to the mountain (Himālaya)came to the mountain (Himālaya)

अन्येऽपि भूभृतो ये हि (anye'pi bhūbhṛto ye hi) — whatever other mountains there werewhatever other mountains there were·द्वीपेष्वन्येष्वपि द्विज (dvīpeṣvanyeṣvapi dvija) — in other continents too, O twice-bornin other continents too, O twice-born·इहापि येऽचलाः सर्वे (ihāpi ye'calāḥ sarve) — and here also — all those unmoving onesand here also — all those unmoving ones·आययुस्ते हिमालयम् (āyayuste himālayam) — came to Himālayacame to Himālaya
