May that Radiance protect you always — not a named, personal god, but Radiance itself: the one whose very form is unbroken bliss, who fills this whole universe of moving and unmoving things, of word and its meaning, through the fifty letters that ceaselessly stream from it in due sequence — the very mechanism by which that undivided Radiance becomes the articulate world at all. The one masters of the deeper teaching call the Word-Absolute, the single reality from which the world of things and the words that name them arise together, inseparably, holding consciousness within it. The one who wears the moon — an old way of naming a subtle centre in the body, the same power this text will later call Kuṇḍalinī — and is sovereign lord of all speech.
