Tantrāloka

Abhinavagupta's eleventh-century encyclopedia of Kashmir Śaiva doctrine and practice, in thirty-seven āhnikas — the means (upāya) to liberation, the levels of reality, initiation, and the rites of the Trika and Kula traditions, with Jayaratha's Viveka as its classical commentary. Our own translation, verse by verse.

The Āhnikas

The whole of the Tantrāloka as it has come down to us — thirty-seven āhnikas ("day-lessons"), opening with the nature of the ultimate reality and the means of realising it.
