प्रचण्डचण्डिकास्तोत्रम्
A hymn of meditation on Chinnamastā, the fierce Caṇḍikā. In the navel is a pure lotus red as the bandhūka flower, within it the blazing disc of the sun, within that the great yoni-cakra, and in its midst, standing on the back of Kāma and his beloved joined in reversed union, is Śivā, whose form is the light of ten million young suns: in her left hand her own severed head, in the other the great chopper, her feet in the pratyālīḍha stance, clad in the quarters, her hair loosed, drinking the stream of blood leaping from her own cut neck, her three eyes blazing like the rising sun. From the other two streams she makes Varṇinī, her own śakti, red and naked with reddened hair, and Ḍākinī, dark as the cloud-mass of dissolution, with lolling tongue and terrible fangs, drink; adorned with bones, with a snake at her breast, she is the one whom Brahmā, Īśāna, Viṣṇu and the best of yogins meditate on day and night with bowed heads, the essence of saṃsāra, mother of the three worlds, giver of wishes, remover of the stains of Kali. She is the primal Prakṛti who takes three forms from the three guṇas to bring about creation, maintenance and withdrawal, whose modifications are Brahmā, Viṣṇu and the trident-bearer, at whose smiling lotus feet the immortals gain their fortune. The sādhaka declares himself devoted to the worship of wine, meat and another's wife, turned away from the herd, standing in Bhairavī, devoted to the guru's feet — "I am Bhairava, I am Śiva." Brahmā spoke this holy hymn of old; it gives every siddhi and destroys great sins; whoever reads it rising at dawn, or in the presence of the goddess, gains siddhi that grants every wish — wealth, grain, sons, wife, horses and elephants, the earth, the great vidyā and the eight siddhis. "हे रम्या, बाघ की खाल से सजे नितम्बों वाली, लटके पेट वाली, खर्वा, अवर्णनीय पर्वों से सुन्दर, मुण्डमाला से सजी; हे अपने पद में कुन्द जैसी उज्ज्वल, विचित्र और मनोहर कर्तरी और ज्ञान को धारण करने वाली; हे माँ, भक्तों पर दया करने वाली महामाया — तुम्हें नमस्कार हो।" प्रचण्डचण्डिका स्तोत्र यहाँ पूर्ण हुआ।
"O lovely one, your hips adorned with a tiger skin, with hanging belly, short, lovely with indescribable joints, adorned with a row of heads; O you who hold in your station the chopper, bright as jasmine and wonderfully lovely, and knowledge; O mother, compassionate to your devotees, Mahāmāyā — obeisance be to you." Here ends the hymn to Pracaṇḍacaṇḍikā.
