महात्रिपुरसुन्दरीकवचम्
The goddess tells Mahādeva that by his grace she has heard many mantras, the various sādhanas, the lifting of the kīlaka and the removal of curses, and asks for the armour of Rājarājeśvarī that he had promised. Īśvara says she has been warned a hundred thousand times and asks again out of a woman's nature, but for her love he tells the most secret armour that gives every wish. Its seer is Mahādeva, its metre prastāra-paṅkti, its deity Rājarājeśvarī Mahātripurasundarī, and it is applied to the attainment of the four aims. Bhairavī guards in the east, Bālā in the south, Mālinī in the west, Trāsinī in the north, Mahātripurasundarī above and the dweller in the underworld below; the vāgbhava guards the base, the kāmarāja the heart, Ḍāmara the head, the great vidyā Bhagavatī the brahmarandhra, every limb and every opening; then the letters of the Ṣoḍaśī vidyā, ka-e-ī-la-hrīṃ, ha-sa-ka-ha-la-hrīṃ and sa-ka-la-hrīṃ with sauḥ, guard the forehead, eyes, nose, ears, chin, throat, heart, navel, secret parts, feet, joints, water, land, sky, the directions and the king's house; haṃsaḥ, the deity beyond parts, and Vijayā, Maṅgalā, Dūtī, Kalyāṇī, Bhagamālinī and Jvālāmālinī guard always. This armour, hard even for the gods, is told out of love and must be kept secret: it is the secret of secrets, giving wealth, fame, long life, enjoyment and liberation, destroying bad dreams, bringing men and women under one's sway, attracting, paralysing and driving away. Whoever worships Rājarājeśvarī without knowing it is eaten by the hosts of yoginīs, gains no mantra-siddhi, suffers poverty, disease and fear here and goes to hell and an animal womb hereafter; so one should practise it always and become entitled. Whoever reads it before the worship with the rite enjoys good fortune and pleasures and at the end attains the goddess's abode.देवी महादेव से कहती हैं कि उनकी कृपा से उन्होंने अनेक मन्त्र, विविध साधन, कीलक का उद्धार और शाप आदि दोषों का निवारण सुना है, और अब राजराजेश्वरी का वह कवच माँगती हैं जिसका उन्होंने वचन दिया था। ईश्वर कहते हैं कि उसे लाखों बार मना किया गया है और वह स्त्री-स्वभाव से फिर पूछती है, पर उसकी प्रीति के लिए वे सब कामनाएँ पूरी करने वाला अत्यन्त गुप्त कवच कहते हैं। इसके ऋषि महादेव, छन्द प्रस्तार-पंक्ति, देवता राजराजेश्वरी महात्रिपुरसुन्दरी हैं और विनियोग चारों पुरुषार्थों की सिद्धि में है। भैरवी पूर्व में, बाला दक्षिण में, मालिनी पश्चिम में, त्रासिनी उत्तर में, महात्रिपुरसुन्दरी ऊपर और पाताल में रहने वाली नीचे रक्षा करती हैं; वाग्भव आधार की, कामराज हृदय की, डामर सिर की, महाविद्या भगवती ब्रह्मरन्ध्र, सब अंगों और हर छिद्र की रक्षा करती हैं; फिर षोडशी विद्या के अक्षर, क-ए-ई-ल-ह्रीं, ह-स-क-ह-ल-ह्रीं और स-क-ल-ह्रीं सौः सहित, माथे, आँखों, नाक, कानों, ठोड़ी, गले, हृदय, नाभि, गुह्य, पैरों, सन्धियों, जल, स्थल, आकाश, दिशाओं और राजगृह की रक्षा करते हैं; हंसः, निष्कल देवता, और विजया, मङ्गला, दूती, कल्याणी, भगमालिनी और ज्वालामालिनी सदा रक्षा करती हैं। देवताओं के लिए भी दुर्लभ यह कवच प्रीति से कहा गया है और गुप्त रखना चाहिए: यह गुह्य से भी गुह्यतर रहस्य है, धन, यश, आयु, भोग और मोक्ष देता है, दुःस्वप्न नष्ट करता है, नर-नारी को वश में करता है, आकर्षण, स्तम्भन और उच्चाटन करता है। जो इसे जाने बिना राजराजेश्वरी की पूजा करता है उसे योगिनियों के वृन्द खा जाते हैं, उसे मन्त्रसिद्धि नहीं मिलती, इस लोक में दरिद्रता, रोग और भय भोगता है और परलोक में नरक और पशु योनि पाता है; इसलिए इसका सदा अभ्यास करके अधिकारी बने। जो पूजा-विधि से पहले विधिपूर्वक इसे पढ़ता है वह सौभाग्य और भोग भोगकर अन्त में देवी का पद पाता है।

"जो पूजा-विधि से पहले विधिपूर्वक मेरे मुख से निकले इस अति पुण्य कवच को पढ़ता है, वह सौभाग्य और भोग से मनोहर शुभ वस्तुएँ भोगकर फिर अन्त समय में देवी का पद पाता है।" कुलानन्द संहिता में त्रिपुरसुन्दरी षोडशी विद्या का कवच यहाँ पूर्ण हुआ।
"Whoever reads with the rule, before the rite of worship, this very holy armour come forth from my mouth, enjoys good things lovely with good fortune and pleasure, and then at the end attains the abode of the goddess."
