What separate lamp is kept for Bhagavati Pitambara?
When you perform the path of the Ashtottar Shatnam, it is not merely a path — the asan is laid, the dhoop and deep are kindled, and you are doing japa seated before the lamp. Beyond that, for Bhagavati Pitambara keep one separate lamp for as long as you do the path, in which haridra must certainly have been put; and in Navratri let it be a lamp of ghee.
