A mother is told her daughter's birth — in Shraddh, on a Saturday in Shani Pushya — is not good. It cannot be said, the speaker answers, that a birth in Shraddh is a life of hardship; whose life has no hardship? And ask whoever said Shani Pushya is bad: who is the lord of Pushya Nakshatra, and who its devata — the two are different — and then explain how a Shani Pushya birth went wrong. People have heard of Guru Pushya and Ravi Pushya and call Shani Pushya bad without knowing what governs the nakshatra. Everyone is born to work off their prarabdha; do not blame graha and nakshatra, and do not be misled.
Procedure for bringing a plant home for vanaspati tantra
Before bringing a plant from anywhere — especially a tantrokta plant, one taken as Vanaspati Tantra prescribes — the speaker says there is a prior process: purify the ground you are taking it from, sprinkle yellow mustard consecrated by mantra vidhan there, ask the deities of that place to remove whatever is there, doing this through your Ishta Devata, light a lamp and then give the plant its invitation, and come back the next day to bring it. Even after all this there is no guarantee if you lack knowledge and cannot see or hear such things; so bring it from a place that is right, and in a right nakshatra — a deva Nakshatra, above all Pushya Nakshatra, whether Ravi Pushya or Guru Pushya.
Why is Guru Pushya Nakshatra especially auspicious for Dattatreya worship?

A guru mantra is necessary and a Guru is absolutely necessary — but the idea that without a guru one's bhakti or puja-path is diminished or will not bear fruit is wrong, and he does not agree with it; those who plant such doubt in people's devotion do the greatest wrong. He has a video on which sadhanas can be done without a guru. In Shabari, the Navnath he had the group awaken are themselves gurus — nine gurus; on the 28th, Guru Pushya Nakshatra, he will have the Guru Shabari done again, and he has given three or four guru-related sadhanas before — start with these and do not stop. If you have a guru who is not giving the mantra, talk to him.
How is the root of the black dhatura brought?
The root of the black dhatura, if it can be had, makes it excellent — but it has its own procedure for bringing. The procedure is that when the Pushya nakshatra falls, one day before the Pushya nakshatra you invite it; and in the nakshatra you are not to look at whether it is Guru Pushya or Ravi Pushya, only that it is one day before the Pushya nakshatra. The next day you go and dig up that root and bring it, and it is kept in this. Then, tied at the waist of the one having the difficulty, the speaker says there is a 99% possibility that the pregnancy will hold — the 1% being Devi's will and your own karmas.

Which weekday and tithi combinations multiply the fruit of worship?
Saptami falling on a Sunday becomes of great importance; Shlosh or Amavasya falling on a Monday raises its importance greatly; Amavasya, Chaturdashi or Ashtami falling on a Tuesday carries special importance; Ashtami on a Wednesday is very specially important; and Pushya nakshatra or Ekadashi tithi on a Thursday becomes of great and divine importance.
