Which parts of Durga Saptashati should never be used to perform Havan?
The Durga Kavach should never be offered directly in Havan, and the Siddha Kunjika Stotram should never be used for Havan at all — both are meant for recitation only.
How should Havan offerings be made for the Kavach, Argala, and Kilaka texts?
Kavach uses the individual name-mantras of the Nine Durgas or named powers, not its full verses; Argala uses nine Ahutis with only its first mantra; Kilaka uses only its first mantra, dedicated to Shiva; the Rahasya texts get no Havan offerings at all.
