Sugrīva thinks that if Sītā had not been found, the monkeys could not be eating the fruit of the Madhuvana. While he thinks, the monkeys come with their company. They bow at his feet, and the king meets them all with deep love. He asks after their welfare, and they say all is well now that they have seen his feet; by Rāma's grace the work is done well. They say Hanumān did the work and saved the lives of all the monkeys. Hearing it, Sugrīva meets Hanumān again, and goes with all of them to Raghupati. When Rāma sees them coming, having finished their work, he is very glad. The two brothers sit on a crystal rock, and all the monkeys fall at their feet. Raghupati, the heap of mercy, meets them all with love and asks after their welfare. 'यदि सीता की खबर न मिली होती तो क्या वानर मधुवन के फल खा सकते?' राजा मन में यह विचार कर ही रहे थे कि वानर अपने पूरे समाज के साथ आ गए।

They came and bowed their heads at his feet, and the lord of monkeys met them all with great love. He asked after their welfare, and they said, 'All is well, for we have seen your feet. By Rāma's grace the work is done well.'
