Śiva tells the gods that those whose very names destroy every ill and put the four aims of life in the hand are Sītā and Rāma. Then he urges his bull forward. The gods see Daśaratha, filled with joy, with a company of holy men and Brahmins, as if Joy had taken a body to serve them. Four fair sons walk beside him, like the four forms of liberation taken in flesh. Seeing the fine pairs, one green as an emerald and one gold, the gods feel great love. They look at Rāma, are delighted and praise the king, raining flowers.
