नाम उधारे अमित खल

For his devotees Rāma took a human body, bore trouble, and made the good happy. But devotees who repeat the name with love, without effort, become homes of joy and good. Rāma saved one ascetic's wife, while the name has set right millions of wicked, ill-minded people. For the sage's sake he finished Subāhu's ruin, and Sukētu's daughter, with her army and sons; the name destroys the sins, pains and bad hopes of its servants, as the sun ends night. Rāma himself broke the bow of Śiva, while the power of the name breaks the fear of worldly life. Rāma made the Daṇḍaka forest lovely, while the name has cleansed the minds of countless servants. The son of Raghu destroyed hordes of night-walkers; the name uproots all the sin of this age. The dohā says that Rāma gave a good end to the Śabarī and the vulture, his good servants, but the name has raised countless wicked people, as the story of its virtues is known to the Vedas. राम ने भक्तों के हित के लिए मनुष्य का शरीर धारण किया, संकट सहे और साधुओं को सुखी किया। पर जो भक्त प्रेम से बिना प्रयास नाम जपते हैं, वे आनन्द और मंगल के घर बन जाते हैं। राम ने एक तपस्वी की स्त्री को तारा, जबकि नाम ने करोड़ों दुष्ट कुबुद्धि वालों को सुधारा। मुनि के हित के लिए राम ने सुकेतु की पुत्री को सेना और पुत्रों सहित नष्ट किया; नाम अपने सेवकों के दोष, दुख और दुराशाओं को वैसे ही नष्ट करता है जैसे सूर्य रात को। राम ने स्वयं शिव का धनुष तोड़ा, पर नाम का प्रताप भव का भय तोड़ता है। राम ने दण्डक वन को सुहावना किया, पर नाम ने अनगिनत सेवकों के मन पवित्र किए। रघुनन्दन ने राक्षसों के झुण्ड मारे, पर नाम कलियुग के सब पापों को जड़ से उखाड़ता है। दोहे में है कि राम ने अपने अच्छे सेवक शबरी और गीध को सद्गति दी, पर नाम ने अनगिनत दुष्टों का उद्धार किया; उसके गुणों की गाथा वेदों में प्रसिद्ध है।
