The king says that seeing the sage's feet he cannot tell the power of his own merit. The two dark and fair brothers give joy even to joy itself, and their love for each other is pure and cannot be told. Videha says gladly that their natural affection is like that of Brahman and the soul. Again and again he looks at the Lord, thrilled and full of joy. He praises the sage, bows at his feet and takes them to the city, to a lovely house comfortable in every season. After worshipping and serving them in every way, he takes leave and goes home. The sages, Rāma and Lakṣmaṇa eat and rest, and a watch of the day remains.
