Rāma takes his brothers and friends along to play at hunting in the forest each day, and brings the deer he shoots to show the king. The deer struck by his arrows give up their bodies and go to the world of the gods. He eats with his brothers and friends and obeys his father and mother. He arranges whatever will make the city's people happy, listens attentively to the Vedas and Purāṇas, and explains them to his brothers. Each morning he bows his head to his mother, father and guru, asks leave and does the city's work, and the king rejoices to see him. The all-pervading, unborn Brahman, without name or form, does these peerless deeds for his devotees.
