Chapter 111·The embrace and the farewell·Verses 1–
Rāma lovingly embraced him with a thrill, like a very poor man who has found the philosopher's stone. As if love and the highest truth had met, and taken one body, all said. Then he fell at Lakṣmaṇa's feet, who lifted him up in love. Then he put the dust of Sītā's feet on his head, and she blessed him as a mother blesses a child. Guha bowed to him full length, and the ascetic embraced him, glad to see Rāma's friend. Drinking in the Lord's beauty with the cups of his eyes, he was glad, like a hungry man with good food. The women said to one another: who are their parents, who have sent such children to the forest? Seeing the beauty of Rāma, Lakṣmaṇa and Sītā, the women and men were overcome with love. The dohā: then Raghubīr gave Guha many kinds of counsel, and he took Rāma's command on his head and went home.
