रघुपति कर संदेसु
Knowing Hanumān to be Hari's servant, Sītā is moved to deep love; her eyes fill and her body thrills. She says Hanumān has become a boat for her, sinking in the sea of parting. She asks for news of Rāma and his brother, and asks why Rāma, so tender-hearted, has been hard on her. She says it is the nature of the Lord to give joy to his servants, and she asks if he ever remembers her. She asks if her eyes will ever be cooled by seeing his dark, soft body. Words fail her, her eyes fill, and she cries that the Lord has forgotten her. Seeing her so troubled, Hanumān speaks gently. He tells her that her Lord and his brother are well, and that Rāma grieves with her sorrow. He asks her not to think she is less loved by him, for his love for her is twice hers. Now he says he will give Rāma's message and asks her to take heart, and speaking so, his voice chokes and his eyes fill.हनुमान को हरि का जन जानकर सीता के हृदय में गहरी प्रीति उमड़ी, नेत्रों में जल भर आया और शरीर पुलकित हो गया। उन्होंने कहा कि विरह के सागर में डूबते हुए मेरे लिए हनुमान जहाज़ बन गए। फिर पूछा कि अनुज सहित खरारी राम सुख से तो हैं? और क्यों इतने कोमल चित्त और कृपालु रघुराई ने कठोरता धारण कर ली? सेवक को सुख देना तो उनका स्वभाव है। क्या कभी रघुनायक मुझे याद भी करते हैं? क्या कभी उनके साँवले कोमल शरीर को देखकर मेरे नेत्र शीतल होंगे? सीता से बोला नहीं गया, आँखें भर आईं और वे कहने लगीं कि हाय नाथ, आपने तो मुझे बिल्कुल भुला दिया। उन्हें इस तरह विरह से व्याकुल देखकर हनुमान ने कोमल और विनम्र वचन कहे। उन्होंने कहा कि माता, प्रभु अनुज सहित कुशल हैं, केवल आपके दुख से दुखी हैं। माता, अपने मन में यह मत मानना कि मैं राम को कम प्यारी हूँ; राम का प्रेम आपसे दूना है। अब रघुपति का सन्देश सुनिए, धीरज रखिए। यह कहकर हनुमान का गला भर आया और आँखों में आँसू भर आए।

उन्हें हरि का सेवक जानकर सीता की प्रीति गहरी हो गई, आँखों में जल भर आया और शरीर पुलकित हो गया। 'हनुमान, मैं विरह के सागर में डूब रही थी, तुम मेरे लिए जहाज़ बन गए।
Knowing him for Hari's servant, her love grew deep, her eyes filled with water and her body thrilled. 'Hanumān, I was drowning in the sea of parting, and you have become a boat for me.

अब बताओ, मैं तुम पर बलिहारी हूँ, अनुज सहित खर के शत्रु राम सुखपूर्वक तो हैं? रघुराई तो कोमल हृदय और कृपालु हैं। हे कपि, उन्होंने किस कारण कठोरता धारण की?
Now tell me, I am yours, how is Rāma, the foe of Khara, in his home of joy with his younger brother? Rāma is tender-hearted and kind. Why, monkey, has he grown hard?

सेवक को सुख देना तो स्वामी का सहज स्वभाव है। क्या रघुनायक कभी मुझे याद करते हैं? हे तात, क्या कभी उनके साँवले कोमल शरीर को देखकर मेरी आँखें शीतल होंगी?
It is the natural way of a servant's Lord to give him joy. Does Raghunāyaka ever think of me? Will my eyes ever be cooled, friend, by seeing his dark, soft body?

सीता से बोला न गया, आँखों में आँसू भर आए और वे बोलीं, 'हाय नाथ, आपने तो मुझे बिल्कुल भुला दिया।' सीता को विरह से इतना व्याकुल देखकर हनुमान ने कोमल और विनम्र वचन कहे।
She could not speak, her eyes filled with tears, and she said, 'Alas, my Lord, you have quite forgotten me.' Seeing Sītā so full of the pain of parting, the monkey spoke softly and humbly.

'माता, प्रभु अनुज सहित कुशल हैं, वे केवल आपके दुख से दुखी हैं। माता, मन में यह मत मानना कि आप कम प्यारी हैं। राम का आपसे प्रेम आपके प्रेम से दूना है।'
'Mother, the Lord is well with his younger brother, and he is sad only with your sorrow. Mother, do not think in your heart that you are loved less. Rāma's love for you is twice as great as yours for him.'
