मुनि प्रसाद बलि तात तुम्हारी
The mothers say: 'By the sage's favour, my child, the Lord has turned aside many troubles. Guarding the sacrifice, you two brothers gained all knowledge by your guru's grace. The sage's wife was saved when your foot's dust touched her, and your fame fills the world. In the royal assembly you broke Śiva's bow, hard as a tortoise's back or a thunderbolt peak. You won Jānakī and fame over the whole world, and came home married, all the brothers. All your deeds are beyond the power of men, mended only by Kauśika's kindness. Today our birth in the world is fruitful, seeing your moon-face, dear. The days that passed without seeing you, may the Creator not count them.' Rāma comforted all the mothers with humble, lovely words. Then remembering Śambhu, his guru and the feet of the Brahmins, he let sleep take his eyes.माताएँ कहती हैं — हे तात, मैं तुम पर बलि जाऊँ, यह सब मुनि के प्रसाद से हुआ; ईश्वर ने अनेक संकट टाल दिए। यज्ञ की रखवाली करके तुम दोनों भाइयों ने गुरु के प्रसाद से सब विद्याएँ पाईं। चरण-रज लगते ही मुनि की पत्नी तर गई और तुम्हारी कीर्ति पूरे संसार में भर गई। राजाओं के समाज में तुमने कछुए की पीठ और वज्र के कूट जैसे कठोर शिव के धनुष को तोड़ा। विश्व-विजय का यश और जानकी को पाकर तुम सब भाई ब्याहकर घर आए। तुम्हारे सब कर्म मनुष्य की शक्ति से परे हैं, उन्हें केवल कौशिक की कृपा ने सँवारा। आज संसार में हमारा जन्म सफल हुआ, हे तात, तुम्हारा चन्द्रमुख देखकर। जो दिन तुम्हें देखे बिना बीते, उन्हें ब्रह्मा गिनती में न लाए। राम ने विनम्र और सुन्दर वचन कहकर सब माताओं को संतुष्ट किया। फिर शम्भु, गुरु और ब्राह्मणों के चरणों का स्मरण करके नेत्रों को नींद के वश कर दिया।

मैं तुम पर बलि जाऊँ, तात — मुनि की कृपा से ईश्वर ने अनेक संकट टाल दिए। यज्ञ की रखवाली करके तुम दोनों भाइयों ने गुरु की कृपा से सब विद्याएँ पाईं।

चरण-रज लगते ही मुनि की पत्नी तर गई और तुम्हारी कीर्ति पूरे संसार में भर गई। राजाओं के समाज में तुमने कछुए की पीठ और वज्र के कूट जैसे कठोर शिव के धनुष को तोड़ा।

विश्व-विजय का यश और जानकी को पाकर तुम सब भाई ब्याहकर घर आए। तुम्हारे सब कर्म मनुष्य की शक्ति से परे हैं; केवल कौशिक की कृपा ने उन्हें सँवारा।
'You won fame as conqueror of the world and Jānakī, and came home married, all of you brothers. All your deeds are beyond men's power; only Kauśika's kindness set them right.'

आज संसार में हमारा जन्म सफल हुआ, हे तात, तुम्हारा चन्द्रमुख देखकर। जो दिन तुम्हें देखे बिना बीते, उन्हें ब्रह्मा गिनती में न लाए।

राम ने विनम्र और सुन्दर वचन कहकर सब माताओं को संतुष्ट किया। फिर शम्भु, गुरु और ब्राह्मणों के चरणों का स्मरण करके नेत्रों को नींद के वश कर दिया।
Rāma comforted all the mothers with humble, lovely words. Then, remembering the feet of Śambhu, his guru and the Brahmins, he let sleep close his eyes.
