बेगि कुअँरि अब आनहु जाई
Seeing that the hour has come, Vasiṣṭha calls Śatānanda, who comes respectfully, and asks him to bring the princess quickly. The sage goes gladly. The queen hears the priest's words and, glad, calls the Brahmin wives and the elders of the family and sings the family songs. The goddesses in women's dress, all lovely and dark-eyed by nature, are seen by the real women as dearer than life though unknown, and the queens honour them again and again as equal to Umā, Ramā and Sarasvatī. Dressing Sītā and arranging her company, the queen glad leads her to the pavilion. The women with her, dressed and sweet with auspicious things, walk with the gait of rutting elephants, and their lovely singing makes sages leave meditation and shames Kāma's cuckoo. Among them Sītā is as natural and charming as beauty among a group of beautiful women.समय देखकर वसिष्ठ ने शतानन्द को बुलाया; वे सुनकर आदर से आए। वसिष्ठ ने कहा कि अब जाकर कुमारी को जल्दी ले आओ; आज्ञा पाकर मुनि प्रसन्न चले। रानी ने पुरोहित की बात सुनी तो सखियों सहित चतुर रानी बहुत प्रसन्न हुईं। उन्होंने ब्राह्मणों की वधुओं और कुल की वृद्धाओं को बुलाया और कुल की रीति करके सुन्दर मंगल गीत गाए। जो देवांगनाएँ स्त्री-वेश में थीं, वे सब स्वभाव से सुन्दर और सुशीला थीं; उन्हें देखकर स्त्रियों को सुख मिला, बिना पहचाने भी वे प्राणों से प्यारी लगीं। रानी बार-बार उन्हें उमा, रमा और सरस्वती के समान मानकर सम्मान करती हैं। सीता को सजाकर, समाज बनाकर वे प्रसन्न होकर उन्हें मंडप में ले चलीं। सखियाँ आदर से सुन्दर मंगल साज सजाकर सीता को लेकर चलीं; सब सुन्दरियाँ नौ-सात शृंगार किए मतवाले हाथी जैसी चाल वाली हैं। उनका सुन्दर गान सुनकर मुनि ध्यान छोड़ देते हैं और कामदेव की कोयलें लजा जाती हैं। नूपुर, कंकण की ताल और गति सुन्दर बजती है। स्त्रियों के समूह में सहज सुहावनी सीता ऐसी शोभित हैं मानो ललनाओं के बीच कोई सुन्दर शोभा-रूपी स्त्री हो।

रानी ने पुरोहित की बात सुनी, तो सखियों सहित चतुर रानी बहुत प्रसन्न हुईं। उन्होंने ब्राह्मणों की वधुओं और कुल की वृद्धाओं को बुलाया और कुल की रीति करके सुन्दर मंगल गीत गाए।
The queen heard the priest's word, and she and her companions were very glad. She called the wives of the Brahmins and the elders of the family, followed the family custom and sang lovely songs.

सखियाँ आदर से मंगल साज सजाकर सीता को लेकर चलीं; सब सुन्दरियाँ नौ-सात शृंगार किए मतवाले हाथी जैसी चाल वाली थीं। उनका सुन्दर गान सुनकर मुनि ध्यान छोड़ देते और कामदेव की कोयलें लजाती थीं। नूपुर और कंकण ताल और गति के अनुसार सुन्दर बज रहे थे।
The friends respectfully set out with Sītā, the women dressed for good luck, fresh and lovely in sixteen and in all adornments, all walking like elephants in rut. Hearing their sweet singing the sages gave up their meditation and Kāma's cuckoos were ashamed. Anklets, bracelets and bells fine-sounded in keeping with the beat.
