The women of the city say that Sītā is Janaka's merit in bodily form, and Rāma is Daśaratha's. Nobody has worshipped Śiva as these two have, nobody has gained such fruit, and no one like them has been, is, or will be. All the people of Janakpur are heaps of merit to have been born there to see Sītā and Rāma. They will see the wedding and fill their eyes with its gain. The sweet-voiced women say this wedding is a great gain, and by great luck the Creator has made the two brothers guests of their eyes.
