Hearing the sound of bangles, waist-bells and anklets, Rāma says thoughtfully to Lakṣmaṇa that it is as if Cupid has beaten his drum, resolved to conquer the world. Saying this, he turns and looks that way, and his eyes become chakoras for the moon of Sītā's face. His lovely eyes grow still, as if the god Nimi, shy, had left the corners of his eyes. He feels joy seeing Sītā's beauty and praises it in his heart, but no words come. It is as if Brahmā had gathered all his skill and made her to show the world. She makes beauty itself beautiful, like a lamp flame in a house of splendour. All comparisons have been used up by poets, so to what can he liken her? Thinking of his own state, the Lord speaks fittingly to his brother.

Saying this, he turned and looked that way, and his eyes became chakoras for the moon of Sītā's face. His lovely eyes became still, as if the god Nimi, shy, had left the corners of his eyes.
Explanation
Nimi is a king said to dwell in the eyelids and make them blink; here, shy, he leaves, so Rāma's eyes do not blink.

Seeing Sītā's beauty he felt joy; he praised it in his heart, but no words came. It was as if Brahmā had gathered all his skill, made her, and shown her to the world.

She made beauty itself beautiful, like a lamp flame lit in a house of splendour. Poets have already used up all comparisons: to what can I liken the princess of Videha?
