Chapter 196·Guha meets the queens·Verses 1–
Guha is a deceitful, cowardly, evil-minded, low-born man, outside the ways of the world and the Vedas in every way. Yet from the day Rāma made him his own, he has become an ornament of the world. Bharata, seeing his love and hearing his gentle words, embraces him. Guha tells the queens his name and they all bless him kindly. The people of the city are glad to see him, and Guha goes off happy, taking them to the camp his people have made ready under the trees and by the lakes and groves.

A deceitful man, a coward, evil-minded and low-born, outside the world and the Vedas in every way. From the day Rāma made me his own, I have become an ornament of the world.
