Can the tantrokta Lakshmi kalash be established on Vasant Panchami?
Asked whether the tantrokta Lakshmi kalash can be established with vidhi-vidhan on Vasant Panchami, the speaker answers: yes, do it.
The Chakshushi Vidya will be given once the purpose for wanting it is stated.
Asked to give the vidhan of the Chakshushi Vidya and of the twelve-name stotra of Bhagavati Saraswati for Basant Panchami, the speaker says the Chakshushi Vidya will be given, but asks that the purpose be stated once — according to that purpose he will then tell it.
What are the year-round rules for a Lakshmi kalash?
Their puja will not be done through the whole year, he says; you may do special archan on the day of Panchami and Purnima — as the archan of Mahalakshmi with the hundred and eight names with rose petals; that you can do. Dhoop and deep should be shown to them daily. And once in the year, on the day of Dhanteras, take out the whole material, give visarjan to the kachi samagri and put in new material, sprinkle Gangajal on the old material in that same manner, do everything, dhoop, deep, tilak and the rest, and place it back and do their pujan. That is the whole rule. In an impure state they are not to be touched; and if sutak-patak falls, nothing at all will change inside — nothing is to be changed in sutak-patak, it changes only once a year.
Pratipada begins on Sunday, Tritiya and Chaturthi share Tuesday, and Ashtami falls on Saturday.
Pratipada begins on Surya vaar; Dwitiya is on Monday; Tritiya and Chaturthi are on Tuesday; Panchami on Wednesday; Shashthi on Thursday; Saptami on Friday; and Ashtami falls on the Saturday.
On which tithis is the wedding of Shiva and Parvati placed?
On the question of the wedding he sends the listener again into kalpa bheda. Different Puranas carry slightly different descriptions, given indicatively. Two are given chiefly: Margashirsha Krishna Paksha Dwitiya tithi, and Vaishakh Shukla Panchami — that on these days the wedding of Bhagavati Parvati and Shiva took place.
Does Shiv Navratra begin from Pratipada or from Panchami?
In the Shiv Navratra too it has been held that the wedding took place, up to Saptami, on the Naumi. But then, he asks, which day is being taken as the Naumi — since Shiv Navratra is begun from Panchami and not from Pratipada. Differences of opinion arise, he says, precisely because people do not put shastra pramaan forward.
Where is the principal wedding site of Shiva and Parvati?
The chief wedding of Shiva and Parvati, he says, is the Triyugi Narayan temple in Uttarakhand, and its description falls on Vaishakh Shukla Panchami. A second, by kalpa bheda, is the Kankhal region connected with Sati, whose description will come now that they are beginning the Sati Khand.
On which days of Shravan must deepdaan be done?
On the Mondays of Shravan — there are four Mondays this time — certainly do deepdaan on all four. Certainly do deepdaan on the Panchami, on both Panchamis, in the Krishna Paksha as well as the Shukla Paksha. After that, certainly do it on the masik Shivratri that will come, on the Trayodashi day. Certainly do it on the Amavasya day, and certainly do it on the Poornima day. These are the special tithis on which you should do it without fail.
What is the dwadash naga pujan on Panchami?
And if possible, on the Panchami tithi there is the vidhan of the pujan of twelve serpents along with Bhagavan Shiva — the dwadash nagas. That very thing is broadcast on this channel, he says: it will be the second or third video at the very start; search in the oldest videos, applying the filter, and that video will come up. Watch it; you can do it at home. The pujan will take place along with the kula naga.
Tithi for the first forgiveness puja, by deity, and the month of daily japa that follows
The speaker says the first forgiveness puja at the temple is done on the deity's own Tithi: Purnima for Hanuman, Pradosh, Trayodashi or Panchami for Shiva, Shukla Paksha Ashtami for Baglamukhi, Ashtami or Navami for Durga, and likewise for other deities. From that day until the same tithi comes again next month — Amavasya to amavasya for Kali — one lights a lamp at home every day and recites the same kshama mantra 108 times.
Which nagas should be worshipped, and on which tithi?
Along with this, on the Panchami tithi, he says: Nagaraj Vasuki, Sheshnag, or the twelve nagas that there are, the ashtanag that there are, the ten nagas that there are — as much as you can understand, whatever is according to your own kula, or the dwadash nagas that there are, or the navnaag that there are. According to him, the puja should be done of the navnaag together with the kula naag — so the puja of the nine nagas should be done on the Panchami tithi; and if you do it together with Bhagavati Manasa as well, then in this too you get a good deal of help.
On which tithis is the Gita paath of Bhagavan Shiva done?
If you have to do the Gita paath of Bhagavan Shiva, he says, then do it on Panchami, do it on Trayodashi, do it on Dwadashi, do it on Chaturdashi, do it on Amavasya or Purnima. Choose one tithi and begin doing it.
Can a second anushthan begin on the same day the first ends?
Asked whether, a dev anushthan running from Ashtami to Chaturdashi, a second anushthan can be started from Chaturdashi again on that same day, the speaker says you can — there is no difficulty.
How many Chaturthis are there in the year?
But all of you know, he says, that taking the Krishna Paksha and the Shukla Paksha together there are twenty-four Chaturthis. And on every Chaturthi the puja of a different form of Ganpati is done — for all twelve months.
Why should one have the shringar of one's aradhya done?
Besides this, the speaker says, one should have the shringar of one's aradhya done in a temple at the time of Diwali or at the time of Panchami. It is said that when you do the shringar of your aradhya, they do the shringar of your life; shaman of a great many doshas occurs by having shringar done.
Which deity is the vrat of each tithi kept for?
Asked the difference between the Pradosh vrat and the Trayodashi vrat, and whether both may be kept together by a listener who already keeps Ashtami, Pradosh and Purnima, the speaker asks where the rest are being left, and then enumerates them: keep Pratipada too, for Prajapati; Dwitiya for Chandra Bhagavan; Tritiya for Gauri ji; Chaturthi for Vinayaka; Panchami for Mahadev; Shashthi for Chhathi Maiya, and for Skanda Mata, for Katyayani, and for Devsena the wife of Bhagavan Kartikeya; Saptami for Surya Bhagavan; Ashtami you already keep; Navami for Durga ji; Dashami for Ganga ji; Ekadashi for Narayan; Dwadashi and Trayodashi you are doing; Chaturdashi for Kali ji; and Purnima is already there. Eat and drink nothing, he adds.
With Vivah Panchami and Margashirsha Chaturdashi both gone, japa of the Argala's second-last mantra at a Bhagavati temple is prescribed meanwhile
Vivah Panchami and Margashirsha Chaturdashi have both gone, so wait for now; the prescription for Vasant Panchami will be given at that time. And meanwhile, do japa as far as possible in a Bhagavati temple of the Durga Saptashati Argala's second-last mantra — Patnim Manoramam Dehi.
Each person of the family lights his own lamp and recites the mantra 21 or 27 times, Pratipada to Dashami
If there are five people, each should go himself and light a lamp each — light them of mustard oil, light them of sesame, light them of ghee, light whichever one wishes — and recite that mantra 21 times or 27 times. At the least this should be done from the 30th of June to the 10th of July, from Pratipada to the Dashami tithi. This much everyone should do.
What if election duty or shift work disturbs the timing?
To one who has election duty from the 30th and the 6th to the 2nd and asks whether he can start the protective shloka anushthan from the 3rd or 4th, he says yes — you may begin from Panchami or Shashthi. Asked by another who cannot do the puja at one and the same time because of duty whether it may be done at different times, he says yes, it may; because of duty your timings may be here and there, there is no difficulty, but do it daily.
