Devi worship in Navratri is incomplete without her attendant deities
Anga shaktis and mandala shaktis come with her, like a family
The speaker says that in Navratri people worship the Navadurgas, the ten Mahavidyass or one chosen form of Jagdamba, but while doing her puja and japa they forget certain deities whose worship is compulsory; without it, he says, the Devi's puja and japa is never complete. The reason he gives is that in Navratri, and especially chaitra-navratri, every shakti is at its peak and comes from its own loka to the earth, to its holy places and to its devotees' homes. Her Anga Shaktis and Mandala Shaktis are like a family: invite her and she does not come alone, her sons and children come with her, so all of them are to be worshipped and remembered, as far as one knows them.
Hanuman worship through Chaitra Navratri, Pratipada to Chaitra Purnima
From the Chalisa at least, up to sahasranama archana for a wish
The speaker says every home must worship Hanuman in chaitra-navratri, daily from Pratipada up to Chaitra Purnima, which is Hanuman Jayanti; this brings many benefits, and worshipping him with a proper vidhi for one wish brings many more. The ways he gives, from simplest up: reciting Hanuman Chalisa, which is enough if that is all one does, but must be done; the Havan of the Chalisa by the vidhi he has taught; archana with his 108 names using flowers or tulsi leaves, two or three minutes, which pleases him greatly; and for a wish, archana with his Sahasranama from Pratipada to Purnima, which he says Hanuman certainly fulfils. If Bhagavati Anjani, his mother, is worshipped and remembered alongside, nothing can stop the work from being done, since mother and son are both being served.
Hanuman and Bhairav are worshipped before the Devi: they secure her place
The Durga Chalisa's "Langur Veer karat agwani"
The speaker says one need not know much Tantra to see this: even in ordinary puja, when the Devi is invited and the Durga Chalisa is recited, it says "Langur Veer karat agwani", Langur Veer, that is Hanuman, leads the way and goes first. Wherever Jagdamba or her partial shaktis are about to come, Langur Veer reaches first and oversees the whole place; the responsibility for its security rests on Hanuman and on Bhairava. So the worship of both becomes essential, and because Hanuman comes first, his worship and Bhairav's worship are to be done before the Devi's own.
The speaker says one should bear in mind that, whatever regional tantra or ordinary seva-puja one follows, even without knowing much of the greater Tantra, in ordinary puja-paath when the Devi comes people recite the Durga Chalisa, and it too says "Langur Veer karat agwani". Langur Veer, that is Hanuman, receives her and walks in front. Wherever Bhagavati Jagdamba is about to come, or her shaktis are about to come as her portions, Langur Veer goes there first and looks over the whole place. Put one way, he says, the burden of security there lies on Hanuman and on Bhairava. So the worship of Bhairav and the worship of Hanuman, both, become extremely necessary. And because Hanuman comes first, he says, Hanuman's worship, and Bhairav's too, should be done before the worship of Bhagavati.
Hanuman's dhwaja on Ram Navami and Chaitra Purnima
The flag is hoisted at home on Ram Navami
The speaker says that on two days, Ram Navami and Chaitra Purnima, Hanuman's dhwaja is worshipped in a special way. He leaves the vidhi for a separate video, but says that on Ram Navami in particular one must put up Hanuman's dhwaja at one's own home.
Minimum Bhairav worship in Navratri
Remembrance, name-mantra japa, a chaumukh lamp
The speaker says that alongside Hanuman, Bhairava must also be worshipped in Navratri according to one's capacity. At the very least one should remember him, do japa of his name-mantra, and light a Chaumukh Deepak lamp in his name. The reason he gives is that these two shaktis are the ones who carry out all of Bhagavati's work, and the responsibility of protecting her devotees rests on them; so both are to be worshipped in Navratri without fail.
Having said that Hanuman's worship must be done in Navratri, the speaker adds that Bhairava's worship must also be done, as far as one is able. At the very least one should remember him, do japa of his name-mantra, and light a Chaumukh DeepakA four-faced oil lamp with four wicks, used in pairs or in multiples across a house during application rituals for Bhairava and similarly potent deities. lamp and the like in his name; this, he says, must certainly be done. The reason he gives is that these two shaktis, Hanuman and Bhairav, are the ones who carry out all of Bhagavati's works, and the responsibility of protecting her devotees lies on them. For that reason, he says, the worship of both must be done especially in Navratri.
