सखा बोलाए
The king of Laṅkā, the monkey lord, Nala, Nīla, Jāmbavān, Aṅgada, Hanumān and all the monkey heroes have taken lovely human forms. They praise Bharata's love, virtue and vows, and admire the citizens' love for Rāma. Rāma calls his friends and tells them to bow to the sage; he says it was the guru Vasiṣṭha's grace that killed the demons. He praises his friends who are dear to him as Bharata, and who gave up their birth for him. Hearing this they are lost in joy. They bow to Kausalyā and she blesses them as dear as Raghunātha. Flowers rain and the party goes on.लंकापति विभीषण, वानरराज, नल, नील, जाम्बवान, अंगद, हनुमान आदि सब वानर वीर मनोहर मनुष्य शरीर धरे हुए हैं। वे भरत के स्नेह, शील, व्रत और नियमों की बड़ाई करते हैं और नगरवासियों की प्रभु के चरणों में प्रीति की सराहना करते हैं। राम अपने सखाओं को बुलाकर कहते हैं कि मुनि के चरणों में सिर नवाओ; ये हमारे कुलगुरु वसिष्ठ हैं, इन्हीं की कृपा से राक्षस रण में मारे गए। वे कहते हैं कि ये सब सखा मुझे भरत से भी अधिक प्रिय हैं और मेरे हित के लिए इन्होंने अपने जन्म न्योछावर कर दिए। यह सुनकर सब प्रेम में मग्न हो जाते हैं। फिर वे कौसल्या के चरणों में प्रणाम करते हैं और माता उन्हें रघुनाथ के समान प्रिय कहकर आशीर्वाद देती हैं। फिर वे भवन की ओर चलते हैं।

वे सब बड़े प्रेम और आदर से भरत के स्नेह, शील, व्रत और नियमों की बड़ाई करते थे। नगरवासियों की रीति देखकर सब प्रभु के चरणों में उनकी प्रीति को सराहते थे।
With great love and respect they all praised Bharata's love, good nature, vows and rules. Seeing the way of the city people, they all admired their love for the Lord's feet.

फिर रघुपति ने सब सखाओं को बुलाया और सिखाया, 'सब जाकर मुनि के चरणों में प्रणाम करो। ये हमारे कुलगुरु वसिष्ठ हैं। इन्हीं की कृपा से राक्षस रण में मारे गए।
Then Raghupati called all his friends and taught them, 'Go and bow at the sage's feet. This is Vasiṣṭha, the guru, whom our family reveres. By his kindness the demons were killed in battle.

४4ए सब सखा सुनहु मुनि मेरे। भए समर सागर कहँ बेरे ॥मम हित लागि जन्म इन्ह हारे। भरतहु ते मोहि अधिक पिआरे ॥
e saba sakhā sunahu muni mere bhae samara sāgara kaham̐ bere |mama hita lāgi janma inha hāre bharatahu te mohi adhika piāre ||

हे मुनि, सुनिए: ये सब मेरे सखा रण-समुद्र के पार करने के लिए मेरे बेड़े बने। मेरे हित के लिए इन्होंने अपने जन्म हार दिए। ये मुझे भरत से भी अधिक प्यारे हैं।'
Listen, sage: all these friends of mine were a bridge for me across the sea of battle. For my sake they gave up their own births. They are dearer to me even than Bharata.'

फिर उन्होंने कौसल्या के चरणों में सिर नवाया। माता ने प्रसन्न होकर आशीर्वाद दिया, 'तुम मुझे रघुनाथ के समान प्रिय हो।'
They then bowed at Kausalyā's feet, and she blessed them gladly, 'You are as dear to me as Raghunātha is.'

आकाश में पुष्पों की वर्षा से भर गया, और आनन्द-स्वरूप प्रभु भवन की ओर चले। नगर के स्त्री-पुरुष अटारियों पर चढ़कर देखते थे।
Flowers fell like rain, filling the sky, and the Lord, treasure of joy, went towards the palace. The men and women of the city climbed to their balconies and watched.
