Bhuśuṇḍi goes on naming what catches everyone: the three qualities' fever, pride that never leaves, the fever of youth, selfishness that ruins fame, envy that stains, grief that shakes, worry that eats like a snake. Desire is a worm in the timber of the body, and sons, wealth and fame are three cravings that dirty every mind. All this is Māyā's family. It is so strong that even Śiva and Brahmā fear it, so what of other creatures? Māyā's army spreads through the world, and her generals are lust and the rest, with pride, deceit and hypocrisy. फिर भी वह श्रीरघुवीर की दासी है। समझने पर वह मिथ्या है, पर राम की कृपा के बिना छूटती नहीं। हे नाथ, मैं यह दृढ़ होकर कहता हूँ।
Yet she is Raghuvīra's maid. If understood, she is unreal; but she cannot be shaken off without Rāma's grace. Lord, I say this with my foot on the ground.
