सुनहु सकल पुरजन
One time Rāma calls the guru, the brahmins and all the citizens, and they come and sit. The Lord, who ends the world for his devotees, speaks to them. He says, 'Listen, all of you, to what I say. I say nothing out of pride or lordship, and there is no wrong or boast in it. Listen, and do what pleases you. He who obeys my teaching is my dearest servant. If I say anything unfair, forbid me without fear. By great luck you have a human body, which the gods long for, the home of effort and the door to liberation; one who gets it and does not mend the world beyond comes to grief.' The dohā says such a man suffers hereafter, beats his head and weeps, and wrongly blames time, action and God.एक बार रघुनाथ ने गुरु, ब्राह्मण और सब नगरवासियों को बुलाया और सब आकर बैठ गए। भक्तों के भव को काटने वाले प्रभु ने कोमल वचन कहे: 'हे सब पुरवासियो, मेरी बात सुनो। मैं कुछ ममता मन में रखकर नहीं कहता। इसमें न अनीति है, न कोई बड़प्पन। सुनो और जो तुम्हें अच्छा लगे वही करो। वही सेवक मुझे सबसे प्रिय है जो मेरी आज्ञा माने। हे भाइयो, यदि मैं कुछ अनीति की बात कहूँ तो भय भुलाकर मुझे रोक देना। बड़े भाग्य से तुमने मनुष्य शरीर पाया है, जिसे देवताओं के लिए भी दुर्लभ सब ग्रन्थों ने कहा है। यह साधन का घर और मोक्ष का द्वार है; इसे पाकर भी जिसने अपना परलोक नहीं सँवारा, वह परलोक में दुख पाता है। वह सिर धुन-धुनकर पछताता है और काल, कर्म और ईश्वर पर झूठा दोष लगाता है।'

एक बार रघुनाथ ने सबको बुलाया। गुरु, ब्राह्मण और सब नगरवासी आए। गुरु, मुनि, ब्राह्मण और सज्जन बैठ गए, तब भक्तों के भव के बन्धन काटने वाले प्रभु बोले।
One time Raghunātha called them. The guru, brahmins and all the citizens came. The guru, the sages, the brahmins and the good sat down, and the Lord, who cuts the world's bonds for his devotees, spoke.

'हे समस्त पुरवासियो, मेरी बात सुनो। मैं कुछ ममता मन में रखकर नहीं कहता। इसमें न कोई अनीति है, न कोई प्रभुता का दिखावा। सुनो और जो तुम्हें अच्छा लगे वही करो।
'Listen, all you people of the city, to what I say. I say nothing out of any feeling of "mine". There is no wrong in it and no show of lordship. Listen and do what pleases you.

वही सेवक मुझे सबसे प्रिय है जो मेरी आज्ञा माने। हे भाइयो, यदि मैं कुछ अनीति की बात कहूँ तो भय भुलाकर मुझे रोक देना।
He is my servant and my dearest who obeys my command. Brothers, if I say anything unjust, forbid me and cast fear away.
