कथा से पार्वती की तृप्ति
Śiva says: Girijā, I have told the Rāma story, which ends the dirt of the Kali age and takes away the dirt of the mind. It is the herb of life for the disease of the world, and the wise sing it. In it are seven lovely steps, the ladder of devotion to Raghupati. Anyone on whom Hari has great grace sets his foot on this road. The man who sings this story without deceit gets his mind's wishes fulfilled. Those who tell it, hear it and approve it cross the ocean of the world as if it were a cow's footprint. Hearing it all, Girijā was very glad and spoke sweetly: Lord, by your grace my doubts have gone and a new love for Rāma's feet has been born. The dohā: now I am fulfilled by your grace, lord of all the world; steady devotion to Rāma has arisen, and all my troubles are over.शिव कहते हैं: गिरिजा, मैंने रामकथा कही, जो कलि के मल का नाश करने वाली और मन के मल को हरने वाली है। यह संसार के रोग के लिए संजीवनी बूटी है, जिसे वेदज्ञ गाते हैं। इसमें सात सुन्दर सोपान हैं, जो रघुपति की भक्ति के मार्ग की सीढ़ियाँ हैं। जिस पर हरि की अत्यन्त कृपा होती है, वही इस मार्ग में पैर रखता है। जो मनुष्य कपट छोड़कर यह कथा गाते हैं, उनके मन की कामनाएँ सिद्ध होती हैं। जो इसे कहते, सुनते और अनुमोदन करते हैं, वे भवसागर को गाय के खुर के जल की तरह पार कर जाते हैं। सब कथा सुनकर गिरिजा ने हृदय में बहुत हर्ष पाया और सुहावनी वाणी कही: नाथ, आपकी कृपा से मेरे संदेह चले गए और राम के चरणों में नया प्रेम उपजा। दोहा: हे विश्वेश्वर, अब आपके प्रसाद से मैं कृतकृत्य हो गई; राम की दृढ़ भक्ति उपजी और सब क्लेश बीत गए।

Hearing all the story, Girijā was very glad at heart and spoke sweet words: Lord, by your grace my doubts have gone, and a new love for Rāma's feet has arisen.
