गरुड़ की कृतार्थता
Garuḍa says: I am fulfilled by your words, steeped in the joy of Raghuvīra's devotion. A new love for Rāma's feet has come to me, and all the trouble made by Māyā has gone. You have been a boat across the sea of delusion to me and given me many joys; I cannot return the favour, so I bow at your feet again and again. You are full of love for Rāma, whole and fulfilled; no one is as fortunate as you. Saints are like trees, rivers, mountains and the earth; their work is all for others' good. A saint's heart is like butter, the poets said, but could not say it well: butter melts from its own heat, saints melt at others' pain and are most pure. My life and birth have borne fruit, and by your grace all my doubts have gone. Know me always as your servant. Śiva says: Umā, again and again says this best of birds. In the dohās, bowing at his feet with love and with a steady mind, Garuḍa flew to Vaikuṇṭha with Raghuvīra in his heart. Girijā, there is no gain like meeting a saint, and it cannot be had without Hari's grace: the Vedas and Purāṇas sing it.गरुड़ कहते हैं: आपकी वाणी सुनकर, जो रघुवीर की भक्ति के रस में डूबी है, मैं कृतकृत्य हो गया। राम के चरणों में मुझे नई प्रीति हुई और माया से उपजी सब विपत्तियाँ चली गईं। आप मेरे लिए मोह रूपी समुद्र की नाव बने और मुझे अनेक सुख दिए; मुझसे प्रत्युपकार नहीं हो सकता, मैं बार-बार आपके चरणों की वन्दना करता हूँ। आप पूर्ण काम, राम के अनुरागी हैं; हे तात, आपके समान कोई बड़भागी नहीं। संत वृक्ष, नदी, पर्वत और धरती की तरह हैं, उनकी सब करनी दूसरों के हित के लिए है। संत का हृदय मक्खन के समान है, कवियों ने कहा पर ठीक से कह न पाए; मक्खन अपने ताप से पिघलता है, पर परम पवित्र संत दूसरों के दुख से पिघलते हैं। मेरा जीवन और जन्म सफल हो गया और आपकी कृपा से सब संशय चले गए। मुझे सदा अपना सेवक जानिए। शिव कहते हैं: उमा, पक्षिश्रेष्ठ बार-बार यही कहते हैं। दोहे: उसके चरणों में प्रेम सहित सिर नवाकर, धीर बुद्धि वाले गरुड़ हृदय में रघुवीर को रखकर वैकुंठ गए। गिरिजा, संत-समागम के समान कोई लाभ नहीं; वह हरि की कृपा के बिना नहीं होता, ऐसा वेद और पुराण गाते हैं।

You, whose every wish is fulfilled and who love Rāma, have no equal in good fortune, friend. Saints are like trees, rivers, mountains and the earth; all they do is for the good of others.

The heart of a saint is like butter, the poets said, but they could not say it truly. Butter melts through its own heat; a saint, most pure, melts at another's pain.

Bowing his head at his feet with love, the steady-minded Garuḍa then went to Vaikuṇṭha, keeping Raghuvīra in his heart.
