सिंघासन पर त्रिभुअन साई

Seeing the Lord, the sages ask in their hearts for a throne, and a divine one that shines like the sun appears. Rāma and Jānakī sit on it, bowing to the brahmins. The sages are glad, the brahmins chant Vedic mantras, and the gods cry 'Victory'. Vasiṣṭha puts the first tilak and the brahmins follow. The mothers wave lamps. Rāma gives gifts and makes beggars rich. The stanzas describe the sky filled with drums, gandharvas singing, apsarās dancing, the brothers and friends standing with parasol, fan and weapons, and the Lord's beauty. Śāradā and Śeṣa cannot tell this joy; only Śiva knows its taste. The gods go home, and the Vedas come in the guise of bards to praise Rāma, who honours them but nobody sees the secret. प्रभु को देखकर मुनियों के मन में प्रेम उमड़ता है और वे दिव्य सिंहासन माँगते हैं; सूर्य के समान तेज वाला सिंहासन प्रकट होता है। राम ब्राह्मणों को सिर नवाकर उस पर बैठते हैं। जनकसुता सहित राम को देखकर मुनि प्रसन्न होते हैं, ब्राह्मण वेद-मन्त्र पढ़ते हैं और देवता आकाश में 'जय, जय' पुकारते हैं। पहले वसिष्ठ तिलक करते हैं, फिर ब्राह्मण आज्ञा देते हैं। माताएँ आरती उतारती हैं। राम ब्राह्मणों को दान देकर सब याचकों को अयाचक कर देते हैं। छंदों में बताया गया है कि आकाश में दुन्दुभियाँ बजती हैं, गन्धर्व गाते हैं, अप्सराएँ नाचती हैं, भरत आदि भाई छत्र, चँवर, धनुष और तलवार लिए खड़े हैं, और राम की शोभा का वर्णन है। उस सुख को सरस्वती और शेष भी नहीं कह सकते, उसका रस केवल शिव जानते हैं। देवता अपने-अपने धाम लौट जाते हैं और वेद वन्दीजन का वेष धरकर राम के पास आते हैं। सर्वज्ञ प्रभु उनका आदर करते हैं, पर कोई यह रहस्य नहीं जान पाता।

He gave the brahmins gifts of many kinds, and made every beggar a man who needs not beg. The Lord of the three worlds sat on the throne, and seeing him the gods beat their drums.

छंद १छंद 1 नभ दुंदुभीं बाजहिं बिपुल गंधर्ब किंनर गावहीं। नाचहिं अपछरा बृंद परमानंद सुर मुनि पावहीं ॥ भरतादि अनुज बिभीषनांगद हनुमदादि समेत ते। गहें छत्र चामर ब्यजन धनु असि चर्म सक्ति बिराजते ॥ १ ॥

nabha duṃdubhīṃ bājahiṃ bipula gaṃdharba kiṃnara gāvahīṃ | nācahiṃ apacharā bṛṃda paramānaṃda sura muni pāvahīṃ | bharatādi anuja bibhīṣanāṃgada hanumadādi sameta te | gaheṃ chatra cāmara byajana dhanu asi carma sakti birājate ||

आकाश में बहुत-सी दुन्दुभियाँ बजती हैं, गन्धर्व और किन्नर गाते हैं, अप्सराओं के समूह नाचते हैं और देवता तथा मुनि परम आनन्द पाते हैं। भरत आदि भाई, विभीषण, अंगद, हनुमान आदि सहित, छत्र, चँवर, पंखा, धनुष, तलवार, ढाल और शक्ति लिए शोभित खड़े हैं।

Many drums sound in the sky, gandharvas and kinnaras sing, crowds of apsarās dance, and the gods and sages gain the highest joy. Bharata and the brothers, with Vibhīṣaṇa, Aṅgada, Hanumān and the rest, stand shining and hold parasol, fans, bow, sword, shield and spear.

छंद २छंद 2 श्री सहित दिनकर बंस बूषन काम बहु छबि सोहई। नव अंबुधर बर गात अंबर पीत सुर मन मोहई ॥ मुकुटांगदादि बिचित्र भूषन अंग अंगन्हि प्रति सजे। अंभोज नयन बिसाल उर भुज धन्य नर निरखंति जे ॥ २ ॥

श्री सहित सूर्यवंश के भूषण राम अनेक कामदेवों की छवि से शोभित हैं। उनका शरीर नए बादल जैसा सुन्दर है, पीला वस्त्र देवताओं के मन को मोहता है। मुकुट, बाजूबन्द आदि विचित्र आभूषण अंग-अंग में सजे हैं। कमल जैसे नेत्र, चौड़ी छाती और लम्बी भुजाएँ हैं। जो उन्हें देखते हैं वे मनुष्य धन्य हैं।

With Śrī, the ornament of the sun's line shines with the beauty of many Kāmas. His body is dark like a fresh cloud, and the yellow cloth charms the mind of the gods. Crown, armlets and other strange ornaments adorn his limbs. His eyes are like lotuses, his chest and arms are broad. Blessed are those who see him.

हे खगेश, उस शोभा और समाज के सुख का वर्णन नहीं हो सकता। सरस्वती, शेष और वेद उसका वर्णन करते हैं, पर उस रस को महादेव ही जानते हैं।

This beauty and the joy of the gathering cannot be told, king of birds. Sarasvatī, Śeṣa and the Vedas describe it, but only Mahādeva knows the taste of it.
