अन्हवाए प्रभु

Ayodhyā is made beautiful and the gods rain flowers. Rāma asks his servants to bathe his friends first, so Sugrīva and the rest are bathed. Then the Lord calls Bharata and with his own hands untangles the matted hair. Rāma bathes the three brothers; Bharata's good fortune and the Lord's tenderness could not be told by a hundred crore Śeṣas. After that, Rāma has his own hair undone, and with the guru's leave he bathes. He is adorned, and Anaṅga would be ashamed at the sight. Sītā is bathed by the mothers and dressed, and sits at Rāma's left. Brahmā, Śiva and the sages arrive on cars. अवधपुरी बहुत सुन्दर सजाई जाती है और देवता फूलों की झड़ी लगाते हैं। राम सेवकों से कहते हैं कि पहले मेरे सखाओं को नहलाओ; सुग्रीव आदि तुरन्त नहलाए जाते हैं। फिर करुणानिधान भरत को बुलाते हैं और अपने हाथों से उनकी जटाएँ सुलझाते हैं। तीनों भाइयों को नहलाते हैं; भरत का भाग्य और प्रभु की कोमलता करोड़ों शेष भी नहीं गा सकते। फिर राम अपनी जटाएँ खुलवाते हैं और गुरु की आज्ञा से स्नान करते हैं। आभूषण सजाने पर उनके अंगों को देखकर सैकड़ों कामदेव लजा जाते हैं। माताएँ सीता को स्नान कराकर दिव्य वस्त्र और आभूषण पहनाती हैं। राम की बाईं ओर लक्ष्मी रूप सीता शोभा पाती हैं। उसी समय ब्रह्मा, शिव और मुनि विमानों पर आते हैं।

यह सुनते ही सेवक जहाँ-तहाँ दौड़े और सुग्रीव आदि को तुरन्त नहलाया। फिर करुणानिधान ने भरत को बुलाया और राम ने अपने हाथों से उनकी जटाएँ सुलझाईं।

Hearing this the servants ran here and there and bathed Sugrīva and the rest at once. Then the Lord, ocean of kindness, called Bharata, and with his own hands Rāma undid the knots of his matted hair.

३3 अन्हवाए प्रभु तीनिउ भाई। भगत बछल कृपाल रघुराई ॥ भरत भाग्य प्रभु कोमलताई। सेष कोटि सत सकहिं न गाई ॥

Then Rāma had his own hair loosened, and with the guru's leave bathed. After bathing, the Lord put on his ornaments, and at the sight of his limbs a hundred Kāmas would be shamed.
