Chapter Ten·Kaikeyī, and the coronation fixed·Verses 1–
Rāma sees that Kaikeyī is ashamed and goes first to her house, comforts her, and then goes to his own palace. Vasiṣṭha calls the brahmins and says it is a good day for the coronation, and asks them to allow it. The brahmins agree gladly; the world is pleased by Rāma's anointing. They urge no delay. The sage tells Sumantra to bring a chariot and other preparations; Sumantra sets out and gets all ready, sends messengers for auspicious things, and bows to Vasiṣṭha.
