Rāma says: whoever is guilty of killing millions of brahmins, if he comes to me for refuge, I do not give him up. The moment a living being turns his face to me, the sins of millions of births are destroyed. It is the nature of a sinner that he never likes worshipping me. If he were evil-hearted, would he come before me? The man with a pure mind gets me; I do not like fraud, trickery or faults. Even if Rāvaṇa sent him to learn our secret, friend, there is no fear or loss from that. All the demons in the world, Lakṣmaṇa can kill in a moment. If he has come afraid for refuge, I shall guard him as my own life. In the dohā the kind Lord laughs and says: 'Bring him, in either case.' Saying 'Victory to the kind one,' Aṅgada and Hanumān went.राम ने कहा, जिसे करोड़ों ब्राह्मणों की हत्या लगी हो, वह भी शरण आए तो मैं उसे नहीं छोड़ता। जिस क्षण जीव मेरे सम्मुख होता है, उसी क्षण करोड़ों जन्मों के पाप नष्ट हो जाते हैं। पापी का यह सहज स्वभाव है कि उसे मेरा भजन कभी नहीं भाता। यदि वह दुष्ट हृदय का होता तो क्या मेरे सामने आता? निर्मल मन वाला मुझे पाता है, मुझे कपट, छल और दोष नहीं भाते। यदि रावण ने इसे भेद लेने भेजा है, तो भी हे कपीश, हमें कोई भय या हानि नहीं। हे मित्र, जगत में जितने राक्षस हैं, लक्ष्मण एक क्षण में उन सबको मार सकते हैं। यदि वह भयभीत होकर शरण में आया है तो मैं उसे प्राणों की तरह रखूँगा। कृपानिकेत ने हँसकर कहा कि दोनों तरह से उसे ले आओ, और 'कृपालु की जय' कहकर अंगद और हनुमान चल पड़े।
