Hanumān asks the Lord to give him devotion that is very sweet and never fails. Hearing Hanumān's very simple words, the Lord said 'So be it.' Śiva tells Umā that for one who has understood Rāma's nature, nothing else seems fit but to worship him. The one in whose heart this talk comes will gain devotion to Raghupati's feet. Hearing the Lord's words, the monkeys cry, 'Victory, victory to the kind Lord, the heap of joy!' Then Raghupati calls the lord of monkeys and tells him to prepare to march, and asks why delay; he asks him to give the monkeys the order at once. Watching this play, the gods rained many flowers and went joyfully from the sky to their homes. Sugrīva quickly called the chiefs of the troops, who came, bands upon bands, monkeys and bears of many colours and matchless strength.हनुमान ने कहा, नाथ, कृपा करके मुझे अत्यन्त सुखदायिनी और अटूट भक्ति दीजिए। हनुमान की अत्यन्त सरल वाणी सुनकर प्रभु ने 'ऐसा ही हो' कहा। शिव उमा से कहते हैं: जिसने राम का स्वभाव जान लिया, उसे उनके भजन के सिवा कुछ और अच्छा नहीं लगता। जिसके हृदय में यह संवाद आ गया, वह रघुपति के चरणों की भक्ति पा जाएगा। प्रभु के वचन सुनकर वानर कहने लगे: कृपालु और सुख के कन्द, तुम्हारी जय हो, जय हो, जय हो। तब रघुपति ने कपिराज को बुलाकर कहा कि चलने की तैयारी करो। अब देर किस कारण की जाए? वानरों को तुरन्त आज्ञा दे दो। यह लीला देखकर देवताओं ने बहुत फूल बरसाए और आकाश से हर्षित होकर अपने-अपने भवनों को चले। सुग्रीव ने शीघ्र ही यूथपतियों को बुलाया, और दल के दल आ गए: अनेक रंगों के, अतुल बल वाले वानर और भालुओं के झुण्ड।
