चूड़ामनि

Hanumān says that as he left, Sītā gave him her crest-jewel. Rāma took it and pressed it to his heart. Hanumān says her eyes full of tears, Jānakī spoke a few words to the Lord: she took the feet of Rāma and his brother, the friend of the poor who takes away the pain of those who bow. She asks for what fault the Lord has left her, since she loves his feet in mind, word and deed. She sees one fault in herself: that when they were parted her life did not leave. But what fault is it of the eyes? As her life tries to go out, they force it back. The fire of parting burns her body, her sighs are the wind and her body is cotton; in a moment it would be burnt. But her eyes pour water for their own sake, so that her body, though burning, does not burn up. Hanumān says Sītā's trouble is very great; it is best left untold, O kind to the poor. Every moment passes like an age: come quickly, Lord, and bring her back by the strength of your arm, having conquered the host of the wicked. हनुमान ने कहा कि चलते समय सीता ने मुझे चूड़ामणि दी। रघुपति ने उसे हृदय से लगा लिया। हनुमान ने कहा कि नाथ, दोनों आँखों में जल भरकर जनककुमारी ने कुछ वचन कहे: अनुज सहित प्रभु के चरण पकड़ लेना, जो दीनबन्धु हैं और शरण में आने वालों का दुख हरते हैं। मैं मन, कर्म और वचन से आपके चरणों की अनुरागी हूँ, फिर नाथ, किस अपराध से आपने मुझे त्याग दिया? एक अवगुण मैं अपना मानती हूँ कि बिछुड़ते समय मेरे प्राणों ने प्रयाण नहीं किया। पर नाथ, इसमें नेत्रों का क्या अपराध है, जो प्राण निकलते समय हठ करके बाधा डालते हैं। विरह अग्नि है, शरीर रुई है, श्वास हवा है; इस तरह शरीर क्षण भर में जल सकता है। पर नेत्र अपने हित के लिए जल बहाते हैं, जिससे विरह की आग में भी शरीर नहीं जलने पाता। हनुमान ने कहा कि सीता की विपत्ति बहुत बड़ी है; हे दीनदयाल, वह न कहना ही अच्छा है। हे करुणानिधि, एक-एक पल कल्प के बराबर बीतता है। प्रभु शीघ्र चलिए और अपनी भुजाओं के बल से दुष्टों के दल को जीतकर उन्हें ले आइए।
