Vibhīṣaṇa returns and bows, and the sea of mercy calls his younger brother. He tells Lakṣmaṇa, the monkey-king, Aṅgada, Nala, Nīla, Jāmbavān and the wise Hanumān to go together with Vibhīṣaṇa and complete the coronation. Rāma says that by his father's word he will not come into the city, and sends monkeys and a brother like himself. The monkeys go at once and arrange the anointing; with honour they seat Vibhīṣaṇa on the throne, complete the coronation and praise him. With folded hands they bow and come back with Vibhīṣaṇa to the Lord. Then Raghubīra calls the monkeys and speaks kind words that make them all glad: 'By your strength the enemy is slain, Vibhīṣaṇa has the kingdom, and your fame in the three worlds will be ever new. Those who sing your good fame with great love, along with me, will cross the boundless sea of the world without effort.' The monkey crowd cannot hear enough of the Lord's words; again and again they bow their heads and all take hold of his lotus feet.
