बिभीषन की क्रिया
Hearing Mandodarī's words, the gods, sages and siddhas are glad. Brahmā, Maheśa, Nārada, Sanaka and the other great sages who speak of the highest truth fill their eyes with the sight of Raghupati and are glad, lost in love. Vibhīṣaṇa sees all the women weeping and goes, heavy at heart. Seeing his brother's state he grieves, and the Lord gives his younger brother an order. Lakṣmaṇa explains to Vibhīṣaṇa in many ways, and Vibhīṣaṇa returns to the Lord. The Lord looks on him with kindness and tells him to perform the rites and put aside all grief. Obeying the Lord's command, he does the rites according to rule, mindful of place and time. Mandodarī and all the others offer water with sesame seeds and go home, speaking in their hearts of Raghupati's many virtues.मंदोदरी के वचन कानों से सुनकर देवता, मुनि और सिद्ध सब सुखी हुए। ब्रह्मा, महेश, नारद, सनकादि और जो श्रेष्ठ मुनि परमार्थ की बात करते हैं, वे सब नेत्र भरकर रघुपति को देखकर प्रेम में मग्न और सुखी हुए। सब स्त्रियों को रोते देखकर विभीषण मन में भारी दुख लेकर गए। भाई की दशा देखकर उन्हें दुख हुआ, तब प्रभु ने छोटे भाई लक्ष्मण को आज्ञा दी। लक्ष्मण ने विभीषण को बहुत प्रकार से समझाया, और विभीषण फिर प्रभु के पास आए। प्रभु ने उन्हें कृपादृष्टि से देखा और कहा कि सब शोक त्यागकर क्रिया करो। प्रभु की आज्ञा मानकर विभीषण ने देश-काल को मन में जानकर विधि से क्रिया की। मंदोदरी आदि सब ने तिलांजलि दी और मन में रघुपति के गुणों का बखान करती हुई भवन चली गईं।

२2भरि लोचन रघुपतिहि निहारी। प्रेम मगन सब भए सुखारी ॥रुदन करत देखीं सब नारी। गयउ बिभीषनु मन दुख भारी ॥

भाई की दशा देखकर उन्हें दुख हुआ, तब प्रभु ने अपने अनुज को आज्ञा दी। लक्ष्मण ने उन्हें बहुत प्रकार से समझाया, और फिर विभीषण प्रभु के पास आए।
Seeing his brother's state he grieved, and then the Lord gave an order to his younger brother. Lakṣmaṇa explained to him in many ways, and then Vibhīṣaṇa came back to the Lord.

४4कृपादृष्टि प्रभु ताहि बिलोका। करहु क्रिया परिहरि सब सोका ॥कीन्हि क्रिया प्रभु आयसु मानी। बिधिवत देस काल जियँ जानी ॥
kṛpādṛṣṭi prabhu tāhi bilokā karahu kriyā parihari saba sokā |kīnhi kriyā prabhu āyasu mānī bidhivata desa kāla jiyam̐ jānī ||

The Lord looked on him with kindness: 'Do the rites, putting aside all grief.' Obeying the Lord's command, he did them according to rule, knowing the place and time in his mind.
