हिमालय का नगर
The procession was just as its groom was, and many wonders happened on the way. Here Himālaya made a canopy so rich it could not be told. He sent invitations to all mountains in the world, large and small, and to forests, seas, rivers and lakes. They took lovely forms of their own choice and came with their families and wives to Himālaya's house, singing auspicious songs with love. Himālaya had already had many houses prepared, and each guest was lodged fittingly. The beauty of the city made even Brahmā's skill look small. Forests, gardens, wells, ponds and rivers were all lovely, banners and festoons shone on every house, and men and women, handsome and clever, charmed even the sages. The city where the Mother of the world was born cannot be described; wealth, success, riches and joy grow new each day.बारात जैसा दूल्हा था वैसी ही बन गई; रास्ते में अनेक प्रकार के कौतुक होते जाते थे। यहाँ हिमाचल ने बहुत विचित्र मण्डप रचा, जिसका वर्णन नहीं हो सकता। जगत् में जितने छोटे-बड़े पर्वत हैं, जिनका वर्णन समाप्त नहीं होता, और वन, सागर, सब नदियाँ और तालाब, इन सबको हिमाचल ने निमंत्रण भेजा। वे सब इच्छानुसार सुन्दर रूप धारण कर, अपने समाज और स्त्रियों सहित, हिमाचल के घर आए और प्रेम से मंगल गान करने लगे। हिमाचल ने पहले ही बहुत-से घर सजवा रखे थे; सब अतिथि जहाँ-तहाँ योग्य स्थान में ठहर गए। नगर की शोभा देखकर ब्रह्मा की निपुणता भी छोटी लगती थी। वन, बाग, कुएँ, तालाब, नदियाँ सब सुन्दर थे, घर-घर बन्दनवार, पताकाएँ और ध्वजाएँ शोभित थीं, और सुन्दर चतुर स्त्री-पुरुषों को देखकर मुनियों का मन भी मोहित हो जाता था। जहाँ जगदम्बा अवतरित हुईं, उस नगर का वर्णन कैसे हो? वहाँ ऋद्धि, सिद्धि, सम्पत्ति और सुख नित नए बढ़ते रहते हैं।

नगर की शोभा देखकर ब्रह्मा की निपुणता सचमुच छोटी लगती थी। वन, बाग, कुएँ, तालाब और नदियाँ सब सुन्दर थे, उन्हें कौन कह सके? घर-घर बन्दनवार, पताकाएँ और ध्वजाएँ शोभित थीं और सुन्दर, चतुर स्त्री-पुरुषों की छवि देखकर मुनियों का मन भी मोहित हो जाता था।
Seeing the city's beauty, Brahmā's skill seemed small. The forests, gardens, wells, ponds and rivers were all lovely, who can tell it? Banners and festoons shone at every house, and the handsome, clever men and women charmed the minds of sages even to see them.

दोहा ९४दोहा 94जगदंबा जहँ अवतरी सो पुरु बरनि कि जाइ।रिद्धि सिद्धि संपत्ति सुख नित नूतन अधिकाइ ॥ ९४ ॥
