Chapter 81·Pārvatī will not turn back·Verses 1–
Pārvatī says: had you met me earlier, I would have taken your advice on my head, but now I have lost my birth for Śambhu's sake; who weighs faults and virtues now? If you are so stubborn that you cannot rest without arranging a match, there are many bridegrooms and brides in the world for such sport-lovers. My quarrel lasts a million births: I will wed Śambhu or stay unmarried. I will not give up Nārada's teaching even if Maheśa himself says it a hundred times. Jagadambā says: I touch your feet, you are late for your homes. Seeing her love, the wise sages cry: victory, victory, Jagadambikā Bhavānī! You are Māyā, Śiva is the Lord, and you are the mother and father of the whole world.

'Victory, victory, Jagadambikā Bhavānī! You are Māyā and Śiva is the Lord, and you are the mother and father of the whole world.' Bowing their heads at her feet, the sages left, again and again with thrilled bodies.
