Choosing a fine day, they untie the wedding bracelets, with much festival and delight. The gods see new joy each day and envy it, asking the Creator for a birth in Avadh. Viśvāmitra wants to go each day, but Rāma's loving request keeps him. Seeing the king's devotion grow a hundredfold each day, the great sage praises him. At last he asks leave, and the king with his sons stands before him: 'Master, all this wealth is yours; I am your servant, with my sons and wives. Always look kindly on these children, and keep giving us your sight, sage.' So saying, the king with his sons and queens falls at his feet, unable to speak. The Brahmin gave many blessings and set out, and the love of that parting cannot be told. Rāma with all his brothers went lovingly with him and, with his leave, turned back after seeing him on his way. The moon of Gādhi's line goes, praising to himself Rāma's beauty, the king's devotion, the wedding and the joy.
