बामदेव रघुकुल गुर ग्यानी
Vāmadeva, wise guru of the Raghus, told then the story of Gādhi's son, and the king, hearing the sage's good fame, was glad in his heart, telling of his own merit. The people turned back at the order, and the king went home with his sons. Everywhere Rāma's wedding was sung, and its pure fame spread through the three worlds. Since Rāma came home married, Avadh has lived in bliss. The joy of the Lord's wedding cannot be told by Sarasvatī or Śeṣa. Knowing Rāma and Sītā's fame to be the life of poets and the home of blessing, the poet has told something of it, to make his own speech pure. Tulsī says he sang Rāma's fame to purify his own speech; what poet has ever crossed the boundless sea of Raghubīra's story? Those who lovingly sing and hear of the sacred thread, the wedding and the festival will always find joy by the grace of Vaidehī and Rāma. In the sorathā: those who sing and hear with love of the wedding of Sītā and Raghubīra will always have festival, for Rāma's fame is a house of blessing.रघुकुल के ज्ञानी गुरु वामदेव ने फिर गाधिसुत की कथा बखानी। मुनि का सुयश सुनकर राजा मन ही मन अपने पुण्य का प्रभाव कहने लगे। आज्ञा पाकर लोग लौट गए और राजा पुत्रों सहित घर गए। जहाँ-तहाँ सब राम का विवाह गाते हैं; तीनों लोकों में पवित्र सुयश छा गया। जब से राम ब्याहकर घर आए, तब से अवध में सब ओर आनन्द बसता है। प्रभु के विवाह में जैसा उत्साह हुआ, उसे सरस्वती और शेषनाग भी नहीं कह सकते। राम और सीता का यश कवियों का जीवन, पवित्र करने वाला और मंगल की खान जानकर मैंने अपनी वाणी को पवित्र करने के लिए उसमें से कुछ कहा। तुलसी ने अपनी वाणी पवित्र करने के कारण राम का यश कहा; रघुवीर के चरित्र का अपार सागर किस कवि ने पार किया है? जो लोग यज्ञोपवीत, विवाह और उत्सव-मंगल का आदर से गान करते हैं, वे वैदेही और राम की कृपा से सदा सुख पाते हैं। सोरठा — जो सीता और रघुवीर के विवाह को प्रेम से गाते और सुनते हैं, उनके लिए सदा उत्सव है, क्योंकि राम का यश मंगल का घर है।

Vāmadeva, the Raghus' wise guru, then told Gādhi's son's story. Hearing the sage's fair fame, the king was glad in his heart, speaking of the power of his own merit.

२2बहुरे लोग रजायसु भयऊ। सुतन्ह समेत नृपति गृहँ गयऊ ॥जहँ तहँ राम ब्याहु सबु गावा। सुजसु पुनीत लोक तिहुँ छावा ॥

आज्ञा पाकर लोग लौट गए और राजा पुत्रों सहित घर गए। जहाँ-तहाँ सब राम का विवाह गाते थे; तीनों लोकों में उसका पवित्र सुयश छा गया।
The people turned back at the order, and the king went home with his sons. Everywhere Rāma's wedding was sung, and its pure fame spread through the three worlds.

३3आए ब्याहि रामु घर जब तें। बसइ अनंद अवध सब तब तें ॥प्रभु बिबाहँ जस भयउ उछाहू। सकहिं न बरनि गिरा अहिनाहू ॥

जब से राम ब्याहकर घर आए, तब से अवध में सब ओर आनन्द बसता है। प्रभु के विवाह में जैसा उत्साह हुआ, उसे सरस्वती और शेषनाग भी नहीं कह सकते।
Ever since Rāma came home married, Avadh has lived in bliss. The joy that came at the Lord's wedding cannot be told by Sarasvatī or the king of serpents.

Knowing the fame of Rāma and Sītā to be the life of poets, pure, a mine of blessing, I have told something of it, to make my own speech holy.
