जेहिं बर बाजि रामु असवारा
Not even Sarasvatī could describe the horse Rāma rides. Śiva, in love with Rāma's form, finds his fifteen eyes very dear. Viṣṇu with Lakṣmī is charmed when Rāma looks at them kindly; Brahmā is thrilled by the sight but regrets having only eight eyes. Skanda, general of the gods, is doubly glad of his twelve eyes, and Indra looks at Rāma and counts Gautama's curse a great kindness. The gods envy Indra, since he has a thousand eyes. Everywhere there is joy among gods and kings, and the drums sound loud on both sides. Knowing the procession is near, the queens call the married women and set out lamps and blessings. With plates of all kinds, the elephant-gaited women go happily to welcome the groom.जिस श्रेष्ठ घोड़े पर राम बैठे थे, उसका वर्णन सरस्वती भी नहीं कर सकतीं। शिव राम के रूप पर मुग्ध हैं और उन्हें अपने पन्द्रह नेत्र बहुत प्रिय लगे। जब राम ने स्नेह से देखा तो लक्ष्मी सहित विष्णु मोहित हो गए। राम की छवि देखकर ब्रह्मा प्रसन्न हुए, पर अपने केवल आठ नेत्र जानकर पछताए। देवसेनापति कार्तिकेय के हृदय में बहुत उत्साह है कि ब्रह्मा से डेढ़ गुना नेत्रों का लाभ है। चतुर इन्द्र ने राम को देखा तो गौतम के शाप को परम हितकारी माना। सब देवता इन्द्र से जलते हैं कि आज इन्द्र के समान कोई नहीं। राम को देखकर देवता और दोनों ओर के राजसमाज बहुत प्रसन्न हैं, नगाड़े खूब बज रहे हैं और देवता जय-जय करते फूल बरसाते हैं। बारात को आता जानकर रानियाँ सुहागिनों को बुलाकर परछन के लिए मंगल सजाती हैं। अनेक विधि से आरती और सब मंगल सामग्री सजाकर गजगामिनी श्रेष्ठ स्त्रियाँ प्रसन्न होकर परछन करने चलीं।

When Rāma looked at Viṣṇu with love, Viṣṇu and Lakṣmī were both enchanted. Brahmā was glad to see Rāma's beauty, but knowing he had only eight eyes he regretted it.

Great joy filled the kings' company on both sides, and drums sounded loudly everywhere. The gods rained flowers and cried, 'Victory, victory to the jewel of the Raghus!' Knowing the procession was coming, many instruments played, and the queens called the married women and arranged lamps and blessings for the welcome.
