Paraśurāma says, 'Hear, Kauśika, this boy is a fool, crooked and bound by death, the destroyer of his own family, a stain on the solar line's moon, wholly unrestrained, ignorant and fearless. In a moment he will be swallowed by Death; I say it openly, and it is no fault of mine. If you want to save him, stop him, telling him of my fame, strength and wrath.' Lakṣmaṇa replied, 'Sage, who can describe your good fame while you yourself are here? You have already told your deeds many times with your own mouth. If that is not enough, say more, and do not hold back your anger and suffer unbearable pain. You are a vowed hero, patient and unshaken; it does not suit you to abuse.'
