जय जय गिरिबरराज किसोरी
Knowing Śiva's bow to be hard, Sītā grieves and goes away keeping the dark form in her heart. When Jānakī, a mine of joy, love, beauty and virtue, saw the Lord going, she took supreme love for soft ink and drew his picture on the lovely wall of her heart. Then she went back to Bhavānī's temple, bowed at her feet and spoke with folded hands. She praises the daughter of the mountain king, the delight of Mahesh's eyes, and the mother of the elephant-faced and the six-faced. She has no beginning, middle or end, and the Veda does not know her power. She creates, sustains and ends the world, enchants it, and moves at her own will. Among faithful wives she stands first.शिव के धनुष को कठोर जानकर सीता शोक करती हैं और हृदय में श्याम मूर्ति को रखकर चलीं। जब सुख, स्नेह, शोभा और गुणों की खान जानकी ने प्रभु को जाते हुए जाना, तब उन्होंने परम प्रेम की कोमल स्याही बनाकर सुंदर चित्त की भीत पर उनका चित्र लिख लिया। फिर वे भवानी के भवन में लौट गईं, चरण वंदना करके हाथ जोड़कर बोलीं। वे गिरिराज की पुत्री की जय करती हैं, जो महादेव के मुख-चंद्र की चकोरी हैं, गजमुख और षडानन की माता और जगत-जननी हैं, जिनकी देह बिजली जैसी दीप्त है। आपका न आदि है, न मध्य, न अंत; आपके अपार प्रभाव को वेद भी नहीं जान सका। आप जगत की उत्पत्ति, वैभव और लय करने वाली हैं, विश्व को मोहने वाली हैं और अपनी इच्छा से विहार करती हैं। पतिव्रता स्त्रियों में आपकी रेखा सबसे पहले है; आपकी अपार महिमा हज़ार सरस्वती और शेष भी नहीं कह सकते।

'हे पर्वतराज की पुत्री, आपकी जय हो, जय हो! हे महादेव के मुखचंद्र की चकोरी, आपकी जय हो! हे गजमुख और षडानन की माता, जगत-जननी, जिनकी देह बिजली जैसी दीप्त है, आपकी जय हो!
'Glory, glory to the daughter of the king of mountains! Glory to her who is the chakora for the moon of Mahesh's face! Glory to the mother of the elephant-faced and the six-faced, mother of the world, whose body shines like lightning!

४4नहिं तव आदि मध्य अवसाना। अमित प्रभाउ बेदु नहिं जाना ॥भव भव बिभव पराभव कारिनि। बिस्व बिमोहनि स्वबस बिहारिनि ॥

आपका न आदि है, न मध्य, न अंत; आपके अपार प्रभाव को वेद भी नहीं जान सका। आप संसार की उत्पत्ति, वैभव और लय करने वाली हैं, विश्व को मोहने वाली हैं और अपनी इच्छा से विहार करती हैं।
You have no beginning, middle or end; the Veda does not know your boundless power. You create, sustain and dissolve the world's existence, enchant the whole universe, and move at your own will.

हे माता, पतिव्रता स्त्रियों में आपकी रेखा सबसे पहले है। आपकी अपार महिमा हज़ार सरस्वती और शेष भी नहीं कह सकते।
