Chapter 220·The townspeople run to see them·Verses 1–
The people of the city hear that the king's sons have come to see the city and run from their houses, leaving all their work, like paupers rushing to plunder a treasure. Seeing the two naturally beautiful brothers they are happy, having gained the fruit of their eyes. Young women at the windows gaze lovingly at Rāma's form. They say to one another that these two have beaten the beauty of millions of Cupids, and that no god, man, demon, nāga or sage is heard to have such beauty. Viṣṇu has four arms, Brahmā four faces and Śiva five, so there is no other god to compare. In every limb of theirs, hundreds of millions of Cupids could be given away.
