In the child's body Kausalyā sees countless suns, moons, Śivas and Brahmās, mountains, rivers, seas, lands and forests, and time, action, qualities, knowledge and nature, things she had never heard of. She sees Māyā, mighty in every way, standing afraid with folded hands, and sees the souls Māyā makes dance and the devotion that frees them. Her body thrills, no words come, and she bows with her eyes closed. Seeing her astonished, the Lord becomes a baby again. She cannot praise him, afraid at having thought of the father of the world as her son. Hari comforts her and asks her to tell no one.
