Chapter 201·The mother sees the universe·Verses 1–दोहा 201
रोम रोम प्रति कोटि ब्रह्मंड
One day the mother bathes the baby and lays him in the cradle, then bathes herself to worship her family's chosen god. She offers food and goes to where the cooking is done. When she returns, she sees her son sitting there eating the offering. Afraid, she runs back to the baby and finds him still asleep in the cradle. She comes again and sees the same son eating. Her heart trembles. She sees two children, one here and one there, and wonders whether her mind is deluded. Seeing her distress, Rāma smiles sweetly and shows her his wondrous, undivided form, with crores of universes in every pore of his body.एक बार माता ने शिशु को नहलाया, शृंगार करके पालने में सुलाया और अपने कुल के इष्टदेव भगवान की पूजा के लिए स्वयं स्नान किया। पूजा करके नैवेद्य चढ़ाया और वहाँ गईं जहाँ रसोई बन रही थी। फिर वे लौटकर पूजा-स्थान पर आईं तो पुत्र को वहाँ भोग खाते देखा। भयभीत होकर वे शिशु के पास गईं तो बालक को वहाँ भी सोता पाया। फिर लौटकर देखा तो वही पुत्र वहाँ था; हृदय काँपने लगा और मन धीरज न धरता था। यहाँ-वहाँ दो बालक देखकर उन्होंने सोचा, 'मेरी बुद्धि भ्रमित है या कुछ और बात है?' माता को व्याकुल देखकर प्रभु ने हँसकर मधुर मुसकान दी और अपना अद्भुत अखंड रूप दिखाया, जिसके रोम-रोम में करोड़ों ब्रह्मांड लगे थे।

पूजा करके उन्होंने नैवेद्य चढ़ाया और स्वयं वहाँ गईं जहाँ रसोई बन रही थी। फिर माता वहाँ लौट आईं तो देखा कि पुत्र बैठा भोजन कर रहा है।
After the worship she offered food, then went to where the cooking was being done. When the mother came back to the place, she saw her son there, eating the offering.

भयभीत माता शिशु के पास गईं तो देखा कि बालक वहाँ भी सोया हुआ है। फिर लौटकर आईं तो वही पुत्र यहाँ भी दिखा; हृदय काँपने लगा और मन धीर न रहा।
Afraid, the mother went to the baby and saw the child lying there asleep. She came back and saw her son there too; her heart trembled and her mind could not be steady.

४4इहाँ उहाँ दुइ बालक देखा। मतिभ्रम मोर कि आन बिसेषा ॥देखि राम जननी अकुलानी। प्रभु हँसि दीन्ह मधुर मुसुकानी ॥

यहाँ और वहाँ दो बालक देखकर वे सोचने लगीं, 'क्या यह मेरी बुद्धि का भ्रम है या कुछ और बात है?' माता को व्याकुल देखकर राम ने हँसकर मधुर मुसकान दी।
Seeing two children, one here and one there, she wondered, 'Is my mind deluded, or is it something else?' Seeing the mother distressed, Rāma smiled his sweet smile.
