The infant's dark body has the beauty of millions of Cupids, deep as a blue lotus or rain cloud. His feet are red lotuses, and the shine of his nails is like pearls on lotus petals. His soles carry the marks of thunderbolt, banner and goad, and his anklets charm the sages. Bells at his waist, three lines on his belly and a deep navel; broad arms with ornaments, the tiger-claw charm and a necklace on his chest. His throat is like a conch, his face very lovely, his speech a sweet lisp, his curly hair arranged by his mother, and he wears a yellow frock. The Vedas and Śeṣa cannot describe his form. Beyond delusion, knowledge and speech, he plays holy childish games bound by the couple's love.शिशु का श्याम शरीर करोड़ों कामदेवों की शोभा वाला है, नील कमल और गंभीर मेघ जैसा। लाल चरण-कमल हैं और नखों की ज्योति ऐसी है मानो कमल की पंखुड़ियों पर मोती बैठे हों। तलवों में वज्र, ध्वजा और अंकुश की रेखाएँ शोभित हैं, और नूपुर की ध्वनि सुनकर मुनियों के मन मोहित हो जाते हैं। कमर में करधनी, पेट पर तीन रेखाएँ और गहरी नाभि; विशाल भुजाओं में बहुत आभूषण, हृदय पर बघनखा और गले में मणि का हार। शंख जैसा कंठ, सुंदर चिबुक, असंख्य कामदेवों की छवि वाला मुख, मधुर तोतली बोली, घुँघराले चिकने बाल जिन्हें माता तरह-तरह से सँवारती हैं, और पीला झबला। उनका रूप वेद और शेष भी नहीं कह पाते। सुख के समूह, मोह से परे, ज्ञान, वाणी और इंद्रियों से परे प्रभु राजा-रानी के परम प्रेम के वश पावन शिशु-लीला करते हैं।

His arms were broad and heavy with ornaments, and the tiger-claw charm on his chest looked very lovely. A jewelled necklace and pendant shone on his breast, and the mark of the brahmin's foot made the mind greedy to look.
