Some days pass without anyone noticing day or night. When it is time for the naming, the king sends for the wise sage and honours him, asking him to give the names he has thought out. The sage says the children's names are many and peerless, but he will give them according to his understanding. The one who is an ocean of bliss, one drop of whom comforts the three worlds, is named Rāma. The one who sustains and nourishes the world is named Bharata. The one by whose remembrance enemies are destroyed is named Śatrughna.
